Gollum Posted October 19 Posted October 19 We have lost 16 consecutive tosses in ODIs, since Nov 19, 2023. 5th match in our women's WC campaign today. Lost all tosses there as well, in fact we won the toss against Pak but match ref called wrong and the Pak skipper acted cool. Gill lost all 5 tosses in the test series in England this summer. Also have been losing almost all tosses in ICC KOs since 2011 WC F. What is going on? raki05 1

But thankfully Dubai wasn't that toss dependent, early start IIRC. WI T20 WC also suited us with the day games, no dew factor. Edited October 19 by Gollum Ultimate_Game 1
Ultimate_Game Posted October 19 Posted October 19 They should do away with the toss when India is playing. Simply ask the other captain what they want to do. cricspirit 1
Gollum Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 17 consecutive tosses lost in ODIs. Last won a toss in 23 WC SF. Ultimate_Game 1

He can replace Kohli and at the very least we'll manage to win a toss. Under him India wasn't such a panauti team. Gollum 1
raki05 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Had it been western teams loosing these many tosses against india, continuous non stop whining by english media and their b@stard child like paaakkkiis and some conspiracy theory would have come out. Vilander, Tillu and Gollum 3

They would have called for checking of the coin, camera zooming in at time of toss, crying about BCCICC saazish, even blamed our country with usual racist tropes. So many important tosses we have lost man, in ICC KOs, even against NZ last year in the final 2 tests where toss was so important, we always lose tosses on rank turners, green tops etc., and against SENA sides in tests. NZ has a great record against us, agree. But they win all the important tosses as well (where conditions make toss more imprtant), like 2019 WC SF, WTC F, 2020 tests in NZ, 21 T20 WC in Dubai, 25 CT F. Lord Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Should just calls heads all the time. Probability is favourable that way than when you keep changing Ultimate_Game 1

At this point it looks like ICC is using Sholay wala coin or some sort of trick coin to troll us. 18 consecutive tosses for men and 6 straight losses for Women is beyond luck or coincidence. Lord 1

Same thing happened to Kohli in the 2018 Eng tour, lost all 5 tosses there as well. I read some stat that India has won 4 and lost 26 of the last 30 tosses against England in tests. No wonder Root has plundered us (11 100s IIRC), always got the best batting conditions, even the 200 he scored in Chennai in 2021 (1st test), he wouldn't have come close had we batted first. Gollum Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 What makes BGT 20-21 even more special is that we won that series despite losing all tosses. cowboysfan and Ultimate_Game 1 1

The "lost toss" factor was balanced by Kohli running away after the 1st Test. If he had stayed we would've lost the series 3-1 the same way we lost the last BGT.
Gollum Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 For once we win a toss, and looks like it is going to be a washout Chaos and Ultimate_Game 2
Gollum Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 Lost toss again Had we won the toss, one of our players would have picked up a freak injury, like Pratika Rawal.
