Nitin Menon asks Chris Gaffaney to check. The ball goes straight into the gloves, clearly. And Snicko has a clear spike, despite what looks like a gap between bat and ball! Gaffaney goes with the technology,

Everyone can score on Bazball era English pattas.

Australia is the place which shows who is who. This is why I still have high hopes on Jaiswal. For a 22 yo, 400 runs last year against full strength Aus (for me, one of the greatest bowling units ever assembled) was something which only an ATG contender could do, that too opening. If not for the MCG runout, could have been something legendary.

Jaiswal had a shitty 2025, especially against Jansen at home....became more of a mental block. But hope he bounces back. Australia showed he is the best young batsman in world cricket, much ahead of FTBs Brook and Gill. Let us see what Rachin does in Aus next year, 4 test series, should be a bit easier against an even older Aus team but still.

Lol so much fuss about our icf warrior to hype root over Sachin in another thread. This guy made one century only on the pitch where starc scored 70-80. And aus scored more than 500 on flat pitch. This Root guy is stat padder even against india he scored big when conditions were flat, no matter how many century he scored he is a softie. I would say Jaiswal century at sidney was better than what Root scored till date during all his aussie tour. So much fuss about scoring on toughest bowling condition. Whenever bowling is tough he packs his bag.

Root is cook level batter that's it

Alex carey is having a box office series as a keeper alone forget about batting.

I never really rate him but at the moment he is the best test keeper batter going around

That is because he didn't do much when he was young. He is your typical pugnacious wicket keepr batter like BJ Watling, Boucher. He has sharp reaction as a keeper even at this age.

I voted for him to be top run getter this series. So underrated, even his keeping is amazing.

POTS will be a race between him and Starc.
