mishra Posted November 18, 2025 Author Posted November 18, 2025 Quote India remains second-largest buyer of Russian oil New Delhi’s purchases of crude from Russia continue amid US sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil India retained its position as the second-largest buyer of Russian crude oil in October after China, according to data from a European think tank. The US imposed sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil, Russia’s largest oil producers, on October 22 to put pressure on Moscow to end the Ukraine conflict. The Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) said in its monthly analysis of Russian fossil fuel exports, released on November 13, that India spent $2.9 billion on Russian crude in October, which accounted for 81% of New Delhi's fossil fuel purchases from the country. Russian crude imports by India recorded an 11% month-on-month increase in October, it said. The CREA also cited an 8% month-on-month increase in total imports. While private refiners’ imports constituted over two-thirds of India’s total imports, state-owned refineries nearly doubled their Russian volumes month-on-month in October. The Vadinar refinery in the western Indian state of Gujarat, which was sanctioned by the EU and is partly owned by Rosneft, reportedly increased production capacity to 90% in October. The CREA report said that after the EU sanctions in July, the refinery has been importing crude solely from Russia. In October, its imports from Russia recorded a 32% month-on-month increase to reach its highest volumes since February 2022. Exports from the refinery, however, have dropped to the lowest levels since May 2023. In September, 34% of India’s oil imports came from Russia, according to Kpler data. On average, about 1.8 million barrels of Russian oil reached India a day in October. The US has slapped 50% tariffs on India, including 25% as reciprocal levies and the rest as a punitive measure for the import of Russian oil. From RT. Means we are importing from Russia for domestic use ravishingravi 1

singhvivek141 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 I am expecting below deals from Putin 1. Su57M1 variant squadrons (atleast 5). 2. New engine deal for Su30MKI 3. New squadrons of S400 4. Maybe, just maybe...but India-Russia can form a deal to form a mutual military industrial complex. Which will work to ensure both India & Russia remain closely knit and produce military equipments. 5. Indian IT to setup industries in Russia 6. Electronics & Chip manufacturing cooperation. 7. Oil and Energy sector coordination, rare earth and minerals. 8. Low probability but...nuclear energy deal. mishra and raki05 2

US wants its interest to be promoted(Beat Iran and Afghan , Contain India, weaken Sino Pak alliance) and hence given free hand to Munir. I can only guess that all these JeM operatives and planning which got busted , Pakistani PM or Munir were aware and they gave hint to Trump as they are meeting him so often now a days. The planned blast day Dec 6 of Putins visit just enforces the idea that US was aware. I hope Dec 6 meeting is on. So , is there any point in waiting for us to assume we will get US deal? QUAD is already on ventilator. Realistically , We should work on presumption of India dont expect anything from US. And yeah, This war stopped Nautanki of Mr Trump, By US actions He has put more fuel into a pottential war between India and Pakistan. Edited November 19, 2025 by mishra
mishra Posted November 19, 2025 Author Posted November 19, 2025 Quote Moscow to approve Indian fishery units Around 25 facilities will become eligible to export to Russia following the move Russia is processing approvals of nearly 25 Indian fishery units, the PTI news agency reported. Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said the approval will enable the units to make exports to the country. Moscow aims to address the growing trade imbalance with India during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s trip next month. India’s exports to Russia are worth $5 billion, while imports from Russia amount to $64 billion. The countries are aiming to increase bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030. The EU approved 102 marine product units from India in September, bringing the number of Indian units listed by the EU to 604. Goyal said on Tuesday that India is in talks with several countries, including the UAE, to diversify its shrimp and fish exports. Indian shrimp exports have been hit hard after the US imposed 50% tariffs. India exported shrimp worth $4.88 billion in 2024-25, accounting for 66% of its total seafood exports. Shrimp export volumes are expected to shrink by 15-18% this fiscal year, ratings agency Crisil said in a report after the US tariffs were imposed. The EU is India’s second-largest seafood market after the US. In 2023-24, India’s seafood exports to the EU stood at $1.1 billion. China, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand are India’s other major export markets. In the EU, Belgium, Spain, and Italy are the largest markets for Indian sea products. A pact between India and the European Free Trade Association, which took effect in October, is expected to boost market access to countries including Norway and Switzerland. It is to be noted that US sea food imports from India are now next to nothing

Jaishankar has unveiled plaques for the missions in Kazan and Ekaterinburg Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will inaugurate new Indian consulates in Kazan and Ekaterinburg on Wednesday. The move is part of a push to expand India’s diplomatic footprint in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. India also has consulates in St. Petersburg and Vladivostok, apart from its embassy in Moscow. New Delhi is holding discussions for a pact on migration aimed at protecting the rights of its workers in Russia, according to Indian media reports. Russian jets integrate with a lot of our weaponry and radar systems and unlike west they wont poke their nose into maintenance. At times, we need to look at the geopolitical alliances as well. We dont have very cordial relations with US or China. Russia isnt the same force it used to be in 1970s...but still a formidable military. We need to keep Russia strong till we become powerful enough i.e. a 10-15 dollar economy. A strong Russia keeps China & US both in check (one via diplomacy and other via power). I am sure, even Russians want India to become powerful, coz they too have their issues with China, suppressed currently, but may resurface again once China-US competition dies down. Keeping a strong ally like India will give them an option to combat Chinese advances when push comes to shove. Anyway, latest news is that Russia is looking for Indian engagement in making the twin seat version of Su57. Also the new variant of Su57 is more stealthier as the heat signature of the engine is now reduced courtesy of rectangular engine cover and better coating.
