My guess is that they are a bit too strong-willed and GG is not willing to manage them. Too much for his fragile ego.

Nothing unexpected. With Gill and Shreyas injured, as always on the cards with these jokers.

 

KL as captain was coming. Even Jadeja as captain would have been a better option. 

 

What's the point of three wicketkeepers in the squad, particularly when KL is captain? Just because they had to somehow accommodate Pant? Pretty sure KL's insecurity to keep his place would mean that he continues to take the gloves. Pant if he makes the XI will play as a pure batter, which is lol worthy. Reminds me of 2019 WC semifinal where we played 4 wicketkeepers.

This coach and selection committee has made some baffling selections till now, but Pant in the ODIs is the cherry on top of their **** cake.

 

Only reason I can think of, is that they don't want someone else to shine and take Gill's place permanently.
