Yes Chawla was ignored too. I think it's more due to captain prefering control as leggies can be expensive.

LOoking at domestic our fast bowlers don't have decent batting ability.  I checked the top wicket takers and their batting prowess in this SMAT 2025.

WHo is this guy Jakhar. From the table he looks like a six hitter.  HE is only 21. Made a 22 ball 60 runs with 8 sixes in one of the innings.

Even if some have decent batting,they don't have manageable defence ,

Here,few wild slogs are considered batting ability and they are content with it

yes.  HOpelessly bleak. But this 21 year old Jakhar seems like he has batting potential. NO video available. Can't form any opinion. ALso not seen his bowling.

He is a 6'4 alrounder. Bowls 130. Can hit big.

I saw one SMAT match HL..he can hit the ball..his pac ei sless but if he can make use of his height..and add some skills to the bowling..can work out..

Actually it was smat 2025 final..Jharkhand vs haryana.. you can watch its HL on bcci.tv men-domestic section

Been posting about him , he played for hryn 6.3-6.4 bowls upto 130 kmph , good hitter at smat level , he an be developed into a finisher

Pace has to be 135+kmph, there should be clear directives on this ,the issue here is if the main bowlers are not 135+ kmph how could these allrounders be 135+ kmph.

135 is must for seam alrounder. He is 6'4" so it will be fine.

I hope Urvil Patel gets opportunities this IPL and with the A team. I liked him couple of times I saw him in the IPL but he didn't get too many games. We need an explosive wk-batter so we can find a replacement for KL in ODIs and a backup and eventual replacement for Samson in T20s.

That is why i used filter minimum 10 sixes. Also it is mainly to find bowlers who can hit sixes.  This Jakhar is as good as batsmen in terms of six hitting. Someone down the order with such six hitting ability will be handy. But i am hearing his bowling is not upto the mark. He is only 21. But it is a great attribute to have.
