It is not impressive if you call it after he goes for runs. Irfan has not been up to scratch since his comeback and does not merely need to 'rediscover his swing' but reinvent his bowling, currently, he does not swing it, bowls too short and has no pace to speak of.

He is not doing very well right now. I agree but it is too early to write him off. Recently he has been having confidence issues :(( and probably should see a shrink or given a break until he gets back into grove. Do not forget his hatrick against Pakistan and some splendid bowling on helpful pitches. Given some time with some confidence, he can be an assett. Also take note that this current pitch is flat as a pancake.

atleast for subcontinent conditions v have to drop him Shwetabh, i think Viru Yuvi Yusuf and once Sachin comes back can fill in the 5th bowlers quota..v can go with 4 main line bowlers without Irfan and v have the batting to do the job without depending on Irfans batting abilities in these conditions..he is really a trundler in these conditions..
