I have a wild conspiracy theory: May be some one inside iranian establishment convinced that the old man khameini is a blocker to the deal and needs to be "eliminated". May be that person is right. Now that this is done, time to sit on the table. Even the rabid enemy of US, the chinks and ruskis, are keeping quiet. No point for the Iranians to keep on fighting.

Look at how Israel killed Hamas leaders who went there for a visit. These don't happen without inside knowledge.
