mishra Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Irans nuclear plant hit by Israel after Russian evacuated it. So, it was coming. Somehow , I feel Isrealis will meet their objectives. 1. Defang Iran military and Tech. 2. take their enriched nukes. However that may not be enough for US to meet its objective of controlling Iranian Oil. So Israelis may burn those fields

It’s obvious and everyone knows it It’s mainly for bragging rights n political brainwashing to his base. Something on the lines of being a “peacemaker” and stopping a nuclear calamity and making the world a safer place to live! Or maybe getting the strait renamed to u know what. Thats why if Iran had any brain cells they would not fall victim to this ego game when the power is so asymmetric. Get in some kind of talks / manipulate / flatter / escape with some kind of a fake “deal” unless they don’t mind being totally dismantled. Off course they won’t be the only one suffering. Market is tanking cross assets in the US and globally. All Economies r getting affected by this inflation shock / rate and valuation correction and some especially Europe might be even affected by stagflation risk. Edited March 28 by MK55 mishra 1
MK55 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) Only bright side - Trump mentioned 3554 remaining targets to hit. They’ve hit 10k so far. The rate / pace of hitting these is often front loaded as the targets get more complicated as you progress. Currently I expect around 250-275 a day and that should take around 2 weeks for completion. But hopefully there’s some diplomacy before that else expect another 5-10 percent market correction. And even after competing these targets - if there’s no ceasefire by then, it’s not gonna end easily as they still need to safely secure the strait. Thats why the time to disengage was this week. Now it’s a gigantic mess. Edited March 28 by MK55 mishra 1

Iran has very clear agenda, backed by China 1. Their ideology dont care about life on earth, IRGC is ready to blow themselves as in their eyes they're fighting a religious war. 2. US has to pick their targets, civilian casualty can easily turn US into villain, specially after the narrative that Iranian public hate the Mullah regime. No such boundary for Iran, they'll create Chaos. 3. Longer this war goes, US will lose its assets as a cost of war. China specially is hedging its bets to ensure US face attrition in their MIC, which would be in their favour once they attack on Taiwan. In longer game of geopolitics, Iran is now just a pawn used by China to slow down US. G_B_ and mishra 1 1

Iran is already seen as an enemy in Ummah world, as its a Shia nation. We may not see it, but Shia-Sunni divide is quite big. Fall of Iran would be death of another "kaafir" nation as per Sunni Islam. Ironically, Iran despite being a Muslim nation has managed to keep alive its Persian identity somehow. None of the other Muslim countries in West Asia have managed to do that. Lone Wolf and mishra 2

That is all oil and Gas sites. Do that, then UAE/Bahrain/Kuwait/Qatar will have mo drinking water. Plus shutting down the Strait of Hormuz permanently would screw the world. Even if US somehow wins the war, it won't be without sending the global economy back by 50 years. mishra 1

You're again mistaking Iran for some medieval mulla country. This is not another middle east war, but a turning point in the global order. mishra 1

This will shift the focus. Iranians have started attacking the island.

bsriharsha Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Just glad more and more Indians are seeing Israel for what it actually is. A US plant used for formenting unrest in the middle East area. Bibi needs to get tried as the war criminal he really is. That doesn't mean Iran gets off Scot free too. In short , the world is *ed. India better ramp up their involvement with Russia and trade with Russia so that their interests are safe guarded.

I'm no pro-Iran, but will never support a country that projects itself as guardians of democracy and mess with sovereignty of other countries without accountability. That missile strike in Dimona itself speaks of Iran's strategic capabilities. Trump has miscalculated this big big time and he knows he's messed this up. Stopping the war now will hit petrol dollar reputation bad, and if he continues with land invasion, there's more ugly stuff to come. bsriharsha 1

I agree partially. 3: It helps China n Russia but it won’t be that easy for China to escape global repercussions if it pulls off something similar with Taiwan - coordinated global response related to trade for starters - something China can definitely not afford. However if it decides to quickly execute its mission unlike what’s going on in Iran then may be they can pull it off but I doubt it. 2: You r also presuming there is some kind of a moral compass or a fear of global pushback (unless it’s concrete and backed by actions - which I doubt) that he would care about. He is totally unhinged these days and the only thing that drives him is the satisfaction of his megalomania and that can be satiated by more attacks with greater intensity. In fact an escalation will be an excuse to do more absolute damage n more brain washing to the masses. Edited March 28 by MK55
