Starc contrast to Indians who are always apologetic, meek, trying to fit in, brown nosing. Lankan Tamils in SM regularly make fun of TN folks for being cowardly. Had India taken Jaffna, Tamil politics would have been very different. 

 

In my experience as well, Eelam Tamils look up to India with high hopes, only to face constant betrayals. Our shortcoming that we haven't been able to take the cause of such a pro-India community in our neighborhood. Should have included them in CAA.

Caste divisions hold Hindus back. One thing I always admire about Savarkar is his stance on caste system, he wanted to smash it unlike Gandhi who wanted to hold on to it.

Simply Alien concepts for urban Hindus.   Street power is totally non existent is what I found.

I would imagine things would be even more worse for NRIs.

Local whatsApp groups have somewhat helped in establishing a community. Hopefully the street power to punish anything illegal will be seen in the days to come.

Not 100% sure but I think Lankan Tamils don't follow caste system like us, at least not strictly. Their unapologetic Hinduness may certainly be a consequence of that. 

 

In most places in India, different communities have their own temples, trusts and fights break out among various temple committees in the same village. Kahaan se unity aayega? Political parties just latch on to these pre-existing divisions and divide the Hindu community further.

Caste factor is significant but massively overblown as well

 

Sikhs, Muslims have their own caste systems

A syed Muslim I think can't marry outside his own caste.. 

There was huge furore in Pakistan few weeks back over a daily soap showing a Syed Muslim girl marrying a average Muslim boy.  Reckon the show got shut down over it.

 

Sikhs have their own hierarchy. 

But they all have a one common place where they religiously attend the gathering once a week.  

Christians have their Sunday mass.

 

Hindus don't have a mechanism like that.  It is way too casual and hence lost its edge.

 

Though there are Pros that some  westerners find it exotic and there is significantly more freedom in our faith..(outside the dehati rituals)

Cons in the longer run outweigh the pros unfortunately

Dude sikh girls are much more prone to grooming due to common language (punjabi). Especially in london. This sangat makes 0 difference.

 

Hindus in uk are much more politically organised. Hence Sunak or priti patel. They joined to conservatives and became ministers etc.

 

Labour will always prefer muslims over sikhs or hindus. 

 

There is also an issue of khalistani movement getting funds from isi. Cant go against pooks beyond a point.
