See, Turkey and Azerbaizan has been making anti India noises and openly backing Pakistan. So India is in some sort of defence co-operation is with Armenia(Azerbaizaan) Cyprus and Greece(Turkey). I want sell some weapons to Kurds(May be via Jordan ) . Saudis should have though about a answer will be coming and Indians cant just rely on MBS words when he was getting into defence Agreement with Pakistan.

Turkey provides a exit path Russian fleets from Black sea to Mediterranean from one and only Port Russia has which can be functional whole year round. That too is in Crimea, annexed from Ukraine. That is the reason why its part of NATO and why US UK EU courts it most. But given choice (if US UK don’t pussh EU) EU will rather let Russian attack Turkey and create a sea route from Mediterranean to Svestapool.
