putrevus Posted January 27 Posted January 27 India lost so many matches because of this bozo unable to accelerate more than run a ball. Finishers should be having 50% higher SR than top order once platform is set. . Idiots like KL Rahul even on their best day cannot do it.What is the point in having those players. sage 1
Tillu Posted January 27 Posted January 27 This looks like an extremely flat deck. Nissanka is marmalising them.
tapandrun Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Some finish by Eng batters to the innings, this is where Ind lacks. They can not go 30-40 runs above par score. And good batting sides will always be in the play vs Ind. Ind does not have a finisher and even when top-order lays the platform there are no batter who can use it as launch-pads, they high rely of some top-order batter to stay till the end and even with them finish only comes in last 4-5 overs. Ind has low quiescent of t20 batters in Odi side and hence do not see this kind of acceleration, its gradual progress or some1 like iyer if he plays at high tempo. putrevus 1

Even in t20 it is top order who do heavy lifting. Pandya is only guy if he play in odis who can finish high but he rarely plays odis due to his fitness. tapandrun 1
putrevus Posted January 27 Posted January 27 350 runs are lot of runs England even with useless bowling attack with one good bowler in Rashid defended that total with ease. India were sweating defending 350 plus totals against SA and NZ.Lost one series and barely defending 350 in one match. Frustrated 1

Even with pandaya its not possible, he is the only hitter of any kind in Ind team, he takes time to start and mostly targets spinner. Plus he needs to be cautious with his hitting too, there is no one after him who can be relied upon with bat. He has to work with Jadeja down the order and jadeja is not a hitter himself. putrevus 1

SC teams lacks fire-power to chase such target may be 1 batter sticks around and plays few shots thats it, batters lacks power game to continuously go after the bowling. Most of the time just need to bowl to a plan and put the fielders there they will mishit more often and get caught. Batting has changed in white-ball cricket SENA teams just have hitters, only dodgy pitches can stop them, their mis-hits goes for 4/6. They need some1 to bind the innings and other can hit around that batter. putrevus 1

Think in Ind 330 is par score now, if there is one batter who can play it their own pace its easy to score 310-320. Yes 350 should nt be easy chase but 320 being easily score-able, just need to put 1-2 bowler under the pump it becomes chase-able especially vs Ind its a proven way to to win vs Ind keep bowlers under constant pressure and they kind of lose it as they do not have fielder who can create magic moments or stop boundaries, it become hard for them to cut out runs or to take wkts. If you play sticky cricket vs Ind they kind of build pressure with dots and few fast finishing overs. They had no answer for Farhan in Asa cup and where out of idea vs mitchell in recent series. Out of his 9 tons 4 are vs Ind ... they have not found any solution to him Edited January 27 by tapandrun

This is a very dumb post when you have no idea about different conditions at different places. In the matches in India, dew made it easier to chase under lights . In this match, the ball gripped more under lights Average turn today by innings 1st innings - 2.6 degrees 2nd innings - 3.8 degrees. It was turning nearly 50% more when SL came to bat. Nothing to with the supposed superiority of the English bowling attack

So batting 1st what should teams look for, and what should be team composition ?? think 330 is just par in ind , what is that total if batting 1st teams needs to post .... Depends on the venue and the particular pitch to be honest. Whatever a dewproof score is, we won't consistently reach that score unless we have that 6th batsman . Need to fix that first tapandrun 1

That's coz Bumrah & Varun C didn't play. Kuldeep (the so called premiere spinner) couldn't turn the ball even a millimetre. Post CT2025, he has been totally useless. Even in the ongoing T20 series vs NZ, he has been our worst spinner. Bishnoi comfortably outbowled him. Not sure how he continues to be a part of our Whiteball team.

If not batting not sure why Ind players do not improve fielding, with player like sundar, chahal, kuldeep any match they do not deliver with ball same questions will be asked The issue here after how many games one can say they are hurting the side ?? And based on 1-2 game can not say player a out-performed player b Frustrated 1
