Looks like the best way for kiwis and SA to win a WC medal is to join India's coaching staff I will vote for Jonty Rhhodes as fielding coach though..seeing current state of our fielding..cant do worse than our current performances Ultimate_Game 1
vvvslaxman Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 (edited) Women's team got only 51 crores for a longer format win. This comes every 2 years. Most of these guys are already rich. Edited March 10 by vvvslaxman New guy 1

Tillu Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Don't forget this guy who was equally responsible for India winning the World Cup. Everytime he went to jail India won a world cup. As of 2026, he still remains in Jail. Hope they keep him there forever. cricspirit and Vk1 2
Suhaan Posted March 10 Posted March 10 12 hours ago, vvvslaxman said: ya. But i exactly remember why they did lol They were terrified of Brett Lee running through top order first up . Brett Lee was in insanely terrifying form. He blew away both England and New zealand. Also India early. Everyone was scared of Aus in those days,Lee was most feared in that WC Everyone from commentators to Mandira Bedi to Srikanth to Tony Greig to you name them was suggesting teams to see off initial barrage from Lee and McGrath but no one survived their spell just to see them off they lost wickets in cluster But then individually their other bolwers also stepped up in other occasions,in those days that was a good attack behind Lee and McGrath

I don't know the numbers but I feel they might already be paid 10x the revenue they may be generating. Reminds me of that aamir khan, kareena, rani disco where the ladies gleefully approve of women actors getting paid equally as men bouncers 1

Biggest scars of my cricket watching exp, can’t believe the latest one was caused by the same Aussies 20 yrs latter. Aus is due a final loss in ODI WC, hope we are the ones to give it to them. Their so called fans and alleged journalists are working overtime to undermine our T20 win, not that their opinion matters, but it would be fun to see them taken a peg down or two

While batting first you can afford to take time but not while chasing. If it had been an overcast day or slightly green pitch, bowling first makes sense but not on a flat pitch. India made a few bad calls during that time at the toss. In WC finals in 2003 despite chasing some good totals leading up to the WC due to Yuvraj, Dravid and Kaif, we still weren't mentally strong to do the same against Australia and also 360 in those days was too high of a total. Even now if someone scored 359 in a WC finals, I don't think anyone is chasing that. Even in 1999 in a crucial Super 6 game, India decided to field first against Australia and conceded 282 runs and the game was over. I remember Geoffrey Boycott saying in the commentary even before the chase started that we had no chance of winning. Ultimate_Game 1

Only high quality (80%+ strength) sena teams can win a 5 match series vs those Ind sides

Just look at the first XI (everyone fit), which is not in our original T20 winning squad. Jaiswal Suryavanshi or Ruturaj Gill Iyer KL Parag Reddy Rana Bishnoi Mayank Khaleel or Prasidh tapandrun 1
