over half way into a league and the top five sides in a ten team comp are ALL hurtling towards 6 wins from 10 played !

 

fluke or mathematically hard wired ?

Who are the teams with easiest path to Top4 finish??

 

I see RCB having harder games. 

 

SRH just needs one game. They are probably fine.

 

PBKS is also mostly fine with games against DC, Mi, LSG left to go along with RCB.

 

RR also has decent chance against all of GT, DC, MI and LSG.

 

Can one of CSK or GT sneak in. RR or RCB will drop down in that case.

 

Does KKR eve have an outside chance by winning all 4 against RCB, GT, MI, DC ??

 

 

LSG, DC, MI and definitely not going anywhere near top4.

Dropping catches has become a disease this season. Never ever seen so many dropped catches in any tournament.

 

Every team is Dropping catches every match.

whoever plays well for the next 3 games gets in... RCB, CSK, GT, KKR, RR, PBKS..  

 

GT, SRH, RCB play top 7 teams only.  PBKS, CSK has lower teams.. RR plays all 3 bottom teams. This is why RR still has a shot even after being at 6.

 

PBKS somehow managed to drop to no.4 and RR managed to drop to 6. things have not gone well for them recently.

Lower teams have made late surge and we still have no clarity on Top4.

 

Situation is such that theoretically even table toppers RCB can miss playoffs if they lose both their games and GT, SRH, PBKS, RR win all remaining matches.

 

Very low probability of RCB not making it ... but just few games to go and no team has secured playoff spot.

RCB and GT are through. 

MI and LSG are out. DC are practically out due to their NRR

 

Any of other 5 can make it to the top 4.

PBKS and KKR can reach 15 points and they have a chance if RR is defeated by MI.

 

DC and CSK have to win their games plus hope that PBKS, RR lose theirs. They are mostly out at this point.

Feel both PBKs and RR will win their next games. RR will qualify and PBKs will rue the rained off game as as of now their NRR is slightly ahead of RR

I was supporting PBKS for winning the IPL this year. 

 

But they do not deserve it anymore after losing 6 back to back games. That rained game is distant memory now. They were at 13 points long time ago. Should have been the first to qualify.

 

I was not supporting GT but they earned their spot.
