Complaints about batting paradises aside the ones dominating the charts are all exclusively Indian batsmen and at the top of the order barring guys like Iyer and Patidar. I'm sure if we break the stats down we can see this lest we rush to criticize the unequal nature of the cricket we are seeing.

IPL has matured to a stage where Indian players have improved themselves, playing a key role in the squad. And they  play in “home” conditions.

Happy to see that! Barring a few batsmen like Buttler, Klaasen and Pooran, I don't like overseas batsmen dominating the show. Batsmen like Suryavanshi, Abhishek 8 Arya are turning 190-200 kind of wickets into 220-230 wickets.

Heck even Slo-mo previous generation Kohli and Rahul are striking at 163 and 185 respectively. Though their approach is still cautious start and self preservation.

Indian batters dominating this show.

Indian players especially some young players have understood art of batting in t20s.The way Punjab chased that huge total was a thing of beauty.

Guys like Kohli even in his wildest dreams cannot bat like that, there is going to be a single after one or two boundaries.

We also need to identify how many keep hitting after 6 overs too.Plus how many hit good bowlers also..Vaibhav has stood out in that regard. These guys have taken guy like Jaiswal out of contention in t20s.

This is the list if Ind batter this season scoring at sr 175+ and min 200 runs.

Arya,Abhishek,Vaibhav are at diff. level. And good to see them doing this over multiple seasons now.

Ishan has resurged into a 6 -hitter ,Patidar and Iyer are phenomenal #4 not letting go-off the super-starts from the top-order, patidar himself has upped the tempo

Think KL is because of that 1 innings of 150+ runs.

Prab has shown a lot of maturity this season, he was good las season too, but this season he has been at next level, Mahatre is not there but still scoring 175+ , has lot of intent and ability to score big and still v.new to game.

Padikkal has been really good he showed this last season, this season he took all the opportunities, he is targeting to hit 6s in 1st few balls he is in the crease, prreviously it was hard for him even to hit 4s. He should wrk more on off side specially cuts or the length ball leaving him.

The game is about 1st 20 ball, target is to get to 40 runs in those 20 balls and then keep hitting from there.

Vaibhav is capable of hitting a ton in sub 40 balls

Arya and Abhishek can do it sub 45-47 balls

And all 3 can hit 50 runs in sub 20 balls.

Indian Batters (200+ Runs | 175+ SR)
Player Team Runs Strike Rate
P Arya PBKS 254 249.01
V Sooryavanshi RR 357 234.86
Abhishek Sharma SRH 380 212.29
RM Patidar RCB 238 210.61
Ishan Kishan SRH 312 198.72
Prabhsimran Singh PBKS 287 192.61
D Padikkal RCB 242 192.06
SS Iyer PBKS 279 186.00
KL Rahul DC 358 185.49
A Mhatre CSK 201 177.87

I was talking about young players who have not yet played for India.Out of which Vaibhav I think has ability to hit even great bowlers, it is his bat swing which makes him special.Arya and Mhatre still need to see more.Prabhasimran is already 26 can he do this over and over again season after season or this is his best.

Stay away from guys like Rahul. This bozo had enough undeserved chances  in all formats.

t20 conditions across the world are as homogenous as you can expect, barring a few exceptions. Even considering that this was not the case before usually, some Indian batsmen would win purple cap by batting within 125 sr usually.

Bowling is also topped by Indians. Bhuvi, Kamboj.  It is almost like when it comes to T20, India has left everyone behind except maybe in mystery spin department and  finishers role. We have a few finishers. But we haven't tried yet. Nitish Reddy should be groomed as a finisher.

Bhuvi! :woot:

I want to see evergreen Bhuvi and Mohsin open the bowling with Bumrah coming in as one change in T20s :agree:
