Since this occurs every 2 years, there is a short turnaround time. SKY has a phenomenal record as a T20 captain, but just like we did last time, we need to start looking beyond him because he has been a liability as a batsman for a while now and based on his IPL form, it doesn't look like anything is about to change anytime soon. I would get Patidar in since he has been outstanding in the middle overs for a few IPL seasons now and with an IPL title already in his kitty and doing well in this IPL also, it might make sense to make him the captain too. Need to seriously develop Ashok Sharma,Mayank Yadav and Kartik Tyagi..I hope someone work with Tyagi to cut down his full tosses..too many he bowls which ruins his figures.. Additionally, I would prefer to develop Shivang Kumar wrist spin too..Vipraj Nigam has regressed it seems..I dont want to rely on Kuldeep as he is mostly taken down easily in knock out matches.. Lone Wolf Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Mayank needs more FC cricket and List A cricket. He is way too rusty for International cricket. Meanwhile Ashok Sharma has to be rewarded for Stellar SMAT. Will give Arya a couple of games in place of Abhishek as well. If there's a spinner who can bat a bit, will probably prefer them over Kuldeep & Varun. Will also try out Arshad as he can bat and see what he does. I would like to build some depth and see if we can find some more multi-dimensional players or at the very least bowlers who can hold the bat. If a bowler can hit and score 10-15 runs that would be great to have. That's why someone like Arshad or a bowler like Shivang as a spinner.

Tyagi, has he done enough to be in a second string team?
