vvvslaxman Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Too late to start this thread.. should have started when Punjab dropping balls forfun costing 100 runs due to that. But today's mistkae by Tilak is the most inexplicable mistake on hte field. How the heck he could conclude it is a six when the actual fielder throws the ball to you.

Shashank Singh himself leads IPL in costliest mistakes. Tilak's brainfade moment was inexplicable as well. Catch the ball and then see whether it's 6 or not but not even trying to catch the ball showed a severe lack of awareness. vvvslaxman and velu 2

And just because he's in the national team setup He can't be judging things with uncapped players,he was showing his arrogance to Naman, had there been someone from the national side he wouldn't have done it You have to respect everyone's opinion in the first place, didn't like it one bit

I too thought he might have touched it but regardless Tilak should have caught the relay even if he thought Dhir had brushed the skirting of the rope. That's the basic you got to trust the partner in relay catches Edited May 11 by Lone Wolf
govinda Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Srh sticking with undercutter, purple and pyane in first four matches might cost them top 2

nevada Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Karun Nair dropped 2 catches to help Punjab scale a record chase of 264. If he had caught the first one, Delhi would have probably won the game.
vvvslaxman Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Let handed batsman/off spinner match up screw up. Markram recently did against Dube. Another worse was CSK dropping Akeal hosein and playing Matt short because short can contain Abhsihek in power play. He did for 2 overs. Then the 3rd over Abhishek got hold of him massively.
velu Posted May 11 Posted May 11 teams who spent massively on unproven players in ipl green karthik and prasanth pant , pooran , hetmeyer etc had atleast some good games in the past and proven it .. betting on them is not a bad call
vvvslaxman Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 (edited) Trying to process what Bawa is doing here. Why didn't he attempt to chase immediately the ball or get close to the sumps in case if they throw. This is basic cricketing sense. Why is he standing there like a rock. Edited May 11 by vvvslaxman

But you don't need to spend every waking moment bragging about it Thats where you dont know me. Pant is an amazing Test batter, and a good ODI batter, but sadly T20 isbt his suitable format. I always have backed Pant on his "right" format. Dont believe me, see for yourself...Pant in 2017-19 was generations ahead of the rest. That 128* vs SRH where he "assaulted" SRH was one of the ATG inns in IPL. But post 2020 he hasnt been the same. Something changed in him. You can say I "hate" trundlers...I will accept it as a badge of honor. Irrespective of which state/IPL team they belong to. Edited May 11 by singhvivek141
vvvslaxman Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Over thinking, copying the opposition literally. Today DC used mostly seamers because it worked for them. They did on the go with no plan. But why did Punjab literally copy the same plan. Who givces these plans. Too many teams are over thinking this season instead of solving problems on the field. They come with solutions even before match without knowing what the problem is. Analysts have screwed up so many things this season.
