Bd fast bowling has improved dramatically, boasting a deep pool of pace options that includes a near-express speedster. 

 

Pak core group has already peaked and is now in a rapid decline. Their past success is highly debatable, as it largely came against second-string opposition. Once Shaheen Shah Afridi lost his express pace and the team faced full-strength opponents, their technical flaws were brutally exposed. Unfortunately, these weaknesses surfaced too late in their careers; consistent exposure to top-tier teams earlier on would have forced corrections sooner. The core of Babar, Shaheen, Rauf, Rizwan, Shadab, and Naseem is fundamentally dysfunctional. Instead of addressing this systemic decline, selectors have merely resorted to short-term dropping and reinstating of players, shifting captains, and scrambling combinations across formats. Because the entire core is deteriorating simultaneously, team success remains completely out of reach.

BD deserves a lot of credit. Proper fast bowling culture now. They proved thesmelves by drawing a test series in NZ last time (something other Asian teams haven't been able to do for 15 odd years). Also their pacers broke the back of Indian top/middle order on a slightly helpful Chepauk track in 2024, they are getting awfully close to beating us in tests.....kuch bhi ho jaye, hope we never drop a test against them.

Apart from this 4-0, I think BDeshis have also won their last T20 and ODI series against poyzzz. 

 

Quite a reversal because for a long time they had a mental block against their former masters, even had a 30-match losing streak, IIRC, guys like Afridi and Hafeez would win Pak games from hopeless situations.

 

I think the reversal started with 2018 Asia Cup where BD finally managed to beat them in a tournament, Mushfiqur scored a brilliant 100 there IIRC. Soumya Sarkar helped BD whitewash them in an ODI series in 2015 (they beat us and RSA also same season) but tournament mein harana different matter hai.

2016 Asia Cup was epic .. Mahmuduallah knocked Pakistan out in a virtual SF.

 

Though Pak a month later defeated them in WT20 in India thanks to Afridi yet again

Somehow they always lose to Pak in tourneys. They need to start beating them in tourneys as well like Afghanistan has started doing.

Good thing we arent touring them anytime soon. Current team will be walloped. Hope things improve when we do

They came very close to Poyzz in Pak in around 2004-05. They had to resort to cheating and Inzi had to save them

Yes, BD should have won that Multan test. Latif cheating, Inzi's clutch knock, won narrowly.
