After Anderson, most English pacers are very injury prone. Look at Wood, Archer, Atkinson.

This trundler Fisher has been effective solely with the wobble ball at 131 kph. 

 

Need Gill, KL etc. to double down on that back foot play they showed in England and 4 seamers to hit those good lengths with wobble seam all day

I am tempering my expectations.  Let's see how we go about it in SL.  Test team will start to take shape there.

Obviously preparation is key for NZ series.

 

The India A 4 day games in NZ should be held in Hagley Oval or Basin Reserve if BCCI has some sense.  Just like they are doing rn in Galle.

Oval always helps spinners somewhat. England decided to go with part time spin of Bethell. Turns out he got the three wickets not necessarily of good balls. But some variety. Rachin and Glen will be doing the job for NZ.  Rachin is definitely better than Jacobs as a bowler

England repeatedly fails with this strategy of bouncers against tail. It invariably fails. Yet they keep doing it . First memory was Shami/Bumrah parntership.

Nasser tries to deflect Archer's poor outing towards IPL by comparing workload in IPL and workload in a Test. Archer's bowling average in Tests is 30. So it is their fault they expect too much from him. IPL or not his performance is going to hot and cold always.

Root tends to overbowl Archer a lot as well in a spell.  It has been a criticism of Root since that NZ tour.

Stokes tends to use Archer much better.

Neither duckett nor gay are elegant.  But Duckett atleast scores quicker

He is learning on the job.  Yea.. you can have talent, skills. But temperament can be honed only in first class. How to play in differnt phases of a Test cricket.
