govinda Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I have seen him in irani trophy and he is in team of A tour of sl. He bowls reverse swing at 140+. He is basically mini umesh. We should use him at home tests. He can take some burden of boom @express bowling @singhvivek141 @Mosher @Lone Wolf @Suhaan singhvivek141 and express bowling 2
express bowling Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) Most tests in Asia ( except venues like Eden of the late 2010s or Dharamsala ) need skiddy quick pacers who can reverse the ball and attack the stumps at pace. And has a good bumper to take advantage of uneven bounce. Yash is a decent prospect in this regard. Want to see if he can sustain pace and accuracy. And want to see how his bumper is. express bowling Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Bowling really well here. But speed is 134 to 138 k. Even if we add 3 kph, he is operating at 137 k to 141 k in white ball cricket. Mosher, Suhaan and Ultimate_Game 1 2

vishalvirsingh Posted June 14 Posted June 14 As i understand he is decent with the BAT as well ....ideal AR INDIAN test /ODI/T20 team requires. he is a better pace bowler than NKR and is a worse batsmen than NKR. i prefer that INDIA gives importance to bowling , we already have the finest batting skill in the world. it is the Pace attack where Opposition teams have rabada/cummins/jof archer/Stokes and other fast bowlers who are in BOOM's category. YASH bowls between 133 to 145k and throws his bat to score quick runs and he and harshit RANA are equally good as batsmen. Harshit Rana is a slightly better bowler than YASH thakur. for me i will pick YASH ahead of DUbey and Nitish Kr reddy. both these guys are merely batsmen who cannot be considered as 5th bowler ever- they will always be 6th and 7th bowlers.
Suhaan Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Apple Tom is quicker and younger Mosher, singhvivek141 and express bowling 3
express bowling Posted June 15 Posted June 15 My picks, for skiddy quick pacers who can be reverse swing bowlers in home tests, are Ashok Sharma and Eden Apple Tom Suhaan, Lone Wolf and Mosher 3
Manucrick Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Yash is not a T20 bowler and is likely to go for a 12 economy rate but I am happy for his national call up he is getting rewarded for his India A performance BacktoCricaddict 1

He seemed pudgy and easily fatigued. But some recent pictures/videos seem to show improved fitness. Hoping for a good performance, but do feel bad that his debut had to come at the expense of Ashok Sharma. Edited July 25 by BacktoCricaddict singhvivek141 1
singhvivek141 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Yash Thakur is another one who is being played at wrong format...just like Prasidh. I fear if he goes for runs, the usual suspects will start calling for his head. Hope he does well. Though, Ashok must be feeling bad. He bowled well in last game, only thing which he didnt do was to stick to Test match length and tried to bowl too many variations. Probably he was hell bent on showing everyone that he can bowl multiple lengths, which wasn't needed here (it needed in IPL though).
