What have they shown?

Samson did well on the flattest pattas known to mankind. If the same WC was in America he would have shat his pants.

Rohit Sharma was a legendary batsman, he can manage anywhere in LOIs.

Despite being legendary loi batsman Rohit hasn't got a 500 run season in long long time in IPL

Iyer seems like a highly insecure captain who will throw his players under the bus at the first chance. He was quick to blame Bishnoi for the loss in the post-match interview. Previous captains like SKY, Rohit and Kohli never publicly pointed to one player like that no matter how bad their performance cost the team.

They bring the worst person out there as captain

Pandya is also a poor communicator. AMong all the guys who talk , communicate very well are Bumrah and Samson. I think atmosphere is very critical for our performances.

I have time for Iyer, he’s a tough guy I feel.

However he has sorely disappointed me with his comment on Bishnoi yesterday.

Publicly throwing your teammate under the bus in these circumstances is an act of self preservation and immaturity that doesn’t bode well for his captaincy.

No matter what one thinks of Bishnoi.

Most Indian newspapers have their headlines directly pointed at Bishnoi as well. Here is one.  >> Bishnoi gifts Eng the match

This seems like some Dhurandhar operation on our invincible, world cup winning team.

Nothing invincible about them, they lost against SA too in that world cup.

The tough guy image of Iyer is busted his bubble is busted he has no plan B he is nervous he is clueless players arent going to trust him he already threw Bishnoi under the bus even before that dont think players trust him either because he gets back in the team without merit he doesnt deserve to be in the T20 team he doesnt even communicate with the bowlers how can that kind of person be a good captain

Newspapers doing it is still ok, I feel.  Not nice but part of their job to raise issues, point out errors, name the names, you could say.

On the other hand a captain saying this publicly, calling out a team mate for poor performance just after a game is questionable leadership (putting it mildly).

Behaviour like that is almost unprecedented.

Iyer is a joker,a big liability, shouldnt have been included even as a player let alone captaincy
