tweaker Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Gambhir won’t be travelling to Harare for the India vs Zimbabwe T20I series. Instead, VVS Laxman, head of the Centre of Excellence (CoE), will step in as the interim India head coach. It’ll be fascinating to see how Laxman operates. Will he follow the template that Team India has been following under Gambhir or implement his own ways?

JaFanatic Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) Not sold on the selections of suryansh shedge, ashok Sharma and Ravi bishnoi. Why are they overlooking mohsin khan? Would rather have gone with Kuldeep who crumbles under pressure than bishnoi who crumbles for no reason. Will be glad if I'm proven wrong with their performances Edited July 22 by JaFanatic nitinbwj and tweaker 1 1

Will be glad if I'm proven wrong with their performances Well Ashok was the highest wicket taker in SMT and was decent in the limited ipl opportunities he had got. AND he’s the probably the top 3 fastest bowlers in the world. So yes about time he got his f chance. In fact any country in this world this would have happened way sooner. Personally I would have introduced express pacers in ODIs first. Manucrick, New guy, express bowling and 1 other 1 3
tweaker Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Zimbabwe squad: Sikandar Raza (c), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Tanaka Chivanga, Ben Curran, Brad Evans, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Milton Shumba, Tafadzwa Tsiga

Umran came from absolute nowhere... These guys still came from a proper system and should do well. Umran even though poorly handled wasn't gifted with height. He always was up against it from the beginning and lesser buffer compared to high arm action Pacers who get natural bounce express bowling 1

Express bowlers will only gain control and improve the more they bowl. He is being left to rot in his peak years. MK55, BacktoCricaddict and Manucrick 1 2

Even Prasidh and Rana cant defend 20 runs. India missed a trick by letting go of a genuine speedster BacktoCricaddict and MK55 1 1

Manucrick Posted July 22 Posted July 22 India is the only country foolish enough to let go of a bowler who consistently bowls at 150 kph express bowling 1

Umran hasn't been clocked off late.. but he sure as hell was quickest we ever produced. Still holds the record for Fastest delivery ever bowled by an Indian in T20I. express bowling 1

Indians aren't used to genuine speedsters and criticized him at every step. Ex players said "jitni tez aayegi utni tez jaayegi" type stuff for him Then he got injured and wasn't able to make a comeback like Tyagi. Became a permanent NCA resident express bowling and Mosher 2

Will be glad if I'm proven wrong with their performances Shedge- they are trying to get some backup for Pandya\NKR who are usually injured Ashok Sharma- He performed well in domestics and hasnt been too bad in IPL either..he is an express pacer and we need such X factor to be groomed..batting potential too i sthere..if you mean compared to Mohsin khan..then I like him too however he is too fragile..let him play a full season injury free Cant say much about Bishnoi..we could have tried some other spinners like Punja or Shivang..though they are very raw.. tapandrun 1
