Italy and Eastern European countries are just a bit more open about it. Latin American countries are no less. Asian countries are known for it. Japan literally hates everyone else but nobody minds it as they're polite while being racists. Middle Eastern countries take it to next level with racism hierarchy based on skin color and passport you hold. And India is not behind as well. The way we treat people from Africa or dark skinned ones is shocking, or the way Indians from eastern part of the country is treated in Delhi or North India is eye opening. Same happens in Southern part of the country against North Indians. At the end of the day humans are racists. Some are good at hiding it while others do it openly. Look at US right now. Till now they were hiding it and all it took was Trump to come to the fore and you see America's true colors. Their immigration policy is literally based on color of your skin at the moment with "white" South Africans or scandinavians preferred and people from Africa and "brown" countries either barred or discouraged to immigrate to the US. Ultimate_Game Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Ivory Coast have themselves to blame for that loss against Germany. They had better chances but were not clinical enough. Germany didn't have as good as opportunities as them and they still converted 2. This would be the difference in them ending up at 2 on the table and getting a tougher opponent in the next stage.

This is almost like Cricket WC where you play majority of the matches just to eliminate 2-4 teams and then you get to Super 8s or Super 6s In 2015 WC we played 80% of the matches just to eliminate minnows as the top 4 teams from each group made it to QFs and then it was knockouts which were over in a jiffy. Footie WC is the same where most of the matches are being played just to eliminate 16 teams from 48 to 32. Leads to a lot of meaningless matches and even a loss doesn't mean much in this format as you just need to make it to the top 32.

Football had it right for a while but now gone the cricket way with a bloated tournament and ridiculous format. All to chase more $$$. Ultimate_Game 1
