Suryavanshi fans have destroyed our T20 team

I would not have dropped him today. I would have kicked out Tilak and let Abhishek bat at number 3.

Samson still  looks the best batsman on this team.He does not need to hit ball in air to score runs.

Abhishek is unfit to bat outside the PP.

If he's in the playing XI, he must play as an opener.

He cannot score runs against Archer.

He should be kept out of the XI then.

The guy will merely sky it once the field is spread. He can get away with his mishits only in the PP.

He is a lappe-baaz, our Temu version of Gayle.

Have low expectations. He looks million bucks when it clicks otherwise he adds more ducks to his poultry farm.

lappe baaz dont play shots on off and straight the way he plays..

He is high risk high reward kind of player..so we will have to accept ducks along with high SRs

I was not asking him to become number 3, I was talking about yesterday's match. In this series he has struggled against Archer so for one match if he batted number 3 , it would have been okay.

he did in India..its here in English conditions it got tough..Vaibhav and others have struggled too..

Vaibhav did not struggle, he got out playing hook shot. Vaibhav has more power than Abhishek.I was talking for one match .

Both Abhishek and Vaibhav are good.

Abhishek looks like a hack but he has good feet movement and knows how to use the crease. He plays the shot exactly at the vacant spot.

Again spin he struggles at the start, but he can murder spin when he gets his feet moving.

Not to mention, he can just run away with the run rate.

Same goes for Vaibhav, he is very young and hence they immediately switch to their default option when theyre uncomfortable. Happens with all of us at that age.

Archer is a brilliant bowler...moving a ball at 145-150k with bounce is tough for any batter to handle. His pace becomes easier in flat conditions of India, but if there is some life, batters need to respect him.

Pairing up with Sanju would have been better.  A right hander.

You need to compare Vbhv with Vbhv’s standards.. In India he didnt need time and could hit from ball 1 or 2..big sixes on midwicket.

Here he was supposed to spend some time initially to get used to pace and bounce..which he didnt and got targeted.

Suddenly Archer is end all be all bowler?

There are better and faster bowlers than Archer out there. In international cricket be prepared to play them.

Archer was really the best fast bowler in IPL as well. He was troubling players even on flat wickets.  Many catches dropped off his bowling.

Archer and Rabada were picknof the bowlers for me in IPL.. who troubled the batters even in those relatively flat wickets with extra pace and bounce..

so Rabada could also pose similar challange for Vbhv had he debut against SA

No he did just fine, he just got out. It happens instead of showing faith in the talent they dropped him.

This TM is backing all wrong players and that is biggest problem for the team.

I agree with the part that this TM didnt back him all the way and its unsettling..

He also hit some sixes..however we all wanted him to stay longer and respect the bowler like Jofra Archer in these conditions little more..then he would have feasted on other bowlers..

A bowling line up like India he would have sent to the cleaners..even many bowlers in the world even in these conditions..

However hit the deck bowlers who are tall,fast(145-150) and accurate..can trouble him in fast pitches initially..as he is not native and experienced to these conditions..

May be in the future tours he will find it easier but initial year..he can just get the experience..

Hence this exposure and backing is required irresoective of the results..though TM is confused about this..

Vaibhav is like Claude. The rest of the batters are like software engineers, worried about him and looking over their shoulder. Hopefully, within 1-2 series, things get settled down and the entire batting lineup works as one unit like before, with winning contributions from different players at different times.

When Vaibhav gets another chance GG won't give him any chance in the near future

He will have all 3 games in Zimbabwe.

In fact top order should look to get some confidence back in those games.

But tall Zimbabwe Pacers won't make it that easy in Harare.  They will prepare similar tracks like they did vs BD
