They expected Darwin to crack under the sun as per Steve Smith and get faster and quicker with up & down bounce but it didn't happen.

 

That's what happens when you don't know how a surface would play out, it was as much a unknown venue for them as for BD.

 

They chose to Bat first vs India on a Green MCG track in 2021 after Adelaide.  Expecting the pitch to get quicker then as well.

That to me was the biggest moment in Gurnoors career till now. He literally floored Brooks flat on the ground like a boxer giving a sucker punch. Brook must have been so embarassed.

Did it twice. 

 

Hit his helmet first time and Brook was down.

 

Then dismissed him with a vicious lifter and Brook was down again.

defintely,its a clever ploy shich roots the batsmen in the crease,this changes their whole approch.

Good 10 year worth of statpadding was missed by all. Kohli probbaly wold have had his average slightly higher by playing against them.

I like him when he doesn't play against us because of his attitude.  similar to Pant. Generally such players are liked by all.  Richie benaud was a big fan of Krish Srikkanth.
