He would be a 30+ averaging batsman if he played for any other country. Just because he plays for Pakistan where ultra flat tracks are the norm, his average is still hovering around 40+

after industrial fans, even home avg has dipped. major weakness vs sla.

absolutely not. no need to downplay.

 

bumrah/siraj/akash deep are not losers like the pakistani pacers.

 

nor are rahul/jaiswal/gill/pant etc pakistani batsmen.

 

oval had good bowling conditions and indian bowlers did well.

 

pak is a team that keeps getting whitewashed by bangladesh and drawing vs windies, teams who have never won a test match vs india/last won in 2002.

 

india has had 2-2 results in england over the last two tours and some of the pitches were spicy and you had all of robinson, anderson, tongue, archer, atkinson etc across them.

Indian bowling was most definitely a lot better than whatever Poyzz have dished out.

Pretty sure those tracks also negated Bumrah factor otherwise he might have won a test or two on his own.

 

My guess is scoreline would have remained same regardless.

yup. gill would have scored lesser but bumrah would prolly have a series similar to bgt and siraj would have also averaged 20-25 instead of 30+.

 

and gill, rahul, jaiswal, pant are good enough to hit 60-70 odd on spicy pitches.

 

and pitches aren't as bad as pak batsmen have shown. similar to lords/oval last year.

Gus Atkinson is such a good batsman, I rarely see English hyping him as an allrounder, if he was playing for India he'd be hailed as a brilliant allrounder who can't be dropped like Jaddu.

He is a highly rated bowler alone. He was the one who almost killed us at th eoval before Siraj landing that yorker.

Pooks got the best bowling and batting conditions but still will lose this comfortably.

Keeper standing up makes a massive difference for guys like Abbas. Batsmen are always caught in 2 minds

Not particularly good vs high pace and bounce and back of length deliveries.

He does nt have obvious weaknesses but think he is someone who is sorted out due to how data is used today.  

 

Think thats the reason he had good start to career playing b/c/d who are less prepared and boards wants to give newer players a chance to play a good side.

 

Once those b/c/d/ teams and new players had the data they were able to figure babar's game out
