Tillu Posted Friday at 03:45 PM Posted Friday at 03:45 PM The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) is examining mobile phones of Pakistan cricketers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan as part of an ongoing investigation, sources said on Friday. The investigation is primarily focused on financial matters and suspected transactions involving the two players, according to sources. The financial dealings of Imam and Rizwan before and after the ongoing Test series against England are also being examined, with details of their bank accounts under scrutiny, sources said. According to sources, transactions made through their accounts during the relevant period are being reviewed. If any suspicious transaction is identified, investigators will examine the source of the funds and determine where the money was transferred, they said. Suspected payments made by any company, individual or organisation are also being scrutinised as part of the investigation, sources said. The insiders said that data recovered from the players' mobile phones was being linked to the inquiry into their financial transactions. Messages, contacts and other digital information are also undergoing forensic analysis. Another key aspect of the investigation is the alleged leaking of dressing-room information during Pakistan's ongoing Test series against England, sources added. Imam and Rizwan appeared before the NCCIA in Lahore on Thursday and were questioned in connection with the investigation. The two cricketers later sought more time to submit their responses following the questioning. The players appeared at the NCCIA's Johar Town office in Lahore at around 3pm and were questioned for approximately two hours, according to sources. During the questioning, the players were asked about alleged leaks from the dressing room, as well as their contacts and meetings during practice sessions and matches in England. The NCCIA has not officially confirmed any allegations against either player, sources added. Earlier this month, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sought a written explanation from a member of its selection committee regarding the selection of Rizwan and Imam for Pakistan's Test squads for the 2026 tours of the West Indies and England. According to a notice issued by the PCB on August 31, the committee member had participated in a selection meeting on June 2, during which responsibility was assigned for considering and selecting players for Pakistan's Test squads for the two series. putrevus Posted Friday at 05:23 PM Posted Friday at 05:23 PM (edited) So all this nonsense to divert attention from their pathetic show. What is there to fix. Ten minutes into all three tests only one result was possible. Edited Friday at 06:48 PM by putrevus

When Amir, Asif, Bitt were caught, they were being thrashed by England in those matches too. Edited Saturday at 04:23 AM by New guy Tillu 1

Even in that match in 2010 spot fixing happened in last test where Pakistan had beaten both Australia and England in tests. Edited Saturday at 10:31 AM by putrevus

Not really, anything from weather, to toss to team composition can be spot fixed. For eg, there were huge odds for imam ul haq not opening or missing the second innings.
Texan Posted Sunday at 08:39 PM Posted Sunday at 08:39 PM Typical red herring from pathetic Pakistanis. For the last 20 or so years, they have been producing duds. They are not losing because of match fixing, but because they are just not good enough. Who in their right mind will pay Imam of all people to underperform against the likes of Robinson on English wickets? nevada, putrevus, Vk1 and 1 other 4

And as has been explained a million times spot fixing involved things like team composition and whetter imam is going to bat in the innings etc. people place large bets on these. Why do people keep repeating the same unfunny thing again and again. It's 2026, that's not how fixing is.

People don't pay batsmen to hit a 4 or a 6 on a specific ball. It is out of the batsman's control to guarantee that. They will pay to underperform only, which is within a batsman's control. This is all typicall Pakistani drama after losses. They do this all the time. putrevus 1

You still are not getting the point.Have you thought why these things happen only when they lose, why was there no chatter when they won CT2017 or when they beat India in 21. In case you don't know you can spot fix even in matches which your team has won. Edited Monday at 11:48 AM by putrevus

There was no chatter during their recent world cup and asia cups thrashings either. They have not won a single cup for last 9 years yet there was no chatter. You really think they were not expecting 3-0 in England and it was such a big surprise to anyone? I would understand if they had to save face after thrashing by minnows but why would they do this on a difficult England tour on green pitches where any team would struggle? And even if they had to save face, there are a million ways to do it than bring up match fixing to smear your nation which would become a much bigger issue. This conspiracy theory makes no sense

tapandrun Posted Monday at 04:03 PM Posted Monday at 04:03 PM There are 2 options : 1 Either there was something happened on eng tour and they had to fly these players back to escape rule of law of the land 2 Or nothing happened and because, they have nothing on the players and they took away the phones without keeping icc in the loop so its all eyewash now. you can not take phones away for deciplinary action of someone not following team rules.
