Btw in delhi we call it Navratre instead of Navratri. is it same in other parts of north India or other parts of India other then gujarat. i know in gujarat they call it Navratri with "i" we call it Navratre
yep, I think its referred to as Navratras/Navratre in N. India. Some here's some info about Navratri/re: It means 9 nights and the tenth day is Dussehra/Vijayadashmi. So during the nine days, the nine forms of Durga Mata are worshiped. The Devis worshipped depend on the tradition of the region i.e Gujarat and Bengal. Durga, * Bhadrakali * Amba or Jagadamba * Annapurna * Sarvamangala * Bhairavi * Chandika or Chandi * Lalita * Bhavani * Mookambika So for the first 3 days, they're devoted to Durga. The Second three days to Laxmi, and the last three days to Sarswati? Does this vary from region to region? I think in Bengal there is more emphasis on Durga. Correct me if you may
