Lord Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 jadeja is still to have a bad match. he should replace ojha in odis how many bad matches Ojha have had?
Shane Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 This guy' date=' Jadeja, reminds me of our batsmen from 90s(exception Sachin) ...used take 4-5 overs to settle down and even if the got settled, Final Indian score would be around 230....... saw the match till 45th over and this guy didnt even try hitting the ball over the circle even ONCE!!!!... never even tried to up the run-rate..shame that the guy gave the rolee to Pathan, Balaji to increase the tempo...i rather take a guy at#7 who can either make score runs quickly or who get out soon without killing the tempo...I hate 30s of 50 balls players...takes us nowhere ... i dont wanna see another Kaif anymore...if Jadeja plays like what he did today, he is useless.... if India wants to win worldcup, Selectors please keep these kindda players Far Far away...[/quote'] I hope you are watching the IPL.
Sachinism Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Jadeja is a brilliant player, he always some how manages to score runs When the guy hits the ball in the air, you think that lil kid is not going to get it nowhere, yet he manages to clear the boundary
Laaloo Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 The guy is a good allrounder. Unfortunately, because of the two pathans, he won't get a chance in t20 Wc. But India should keep him for future tournaments. He will be useful, especially in the subcontinent.
flamy Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 He's got an attitude problem, much like Uthappa and that will lead to his downfall. But, I wish him all the best.

Overall value he brings to the table is immense. He is only 20. He has lot of room for improvement. If he is focused he will go places.

Overall value he brings to the table is immense. He is only 20. He has lot of room for improvement. If he is focused he will go places. Plus, he is a decent fielder. However, he needs to sort out his temperament. I have seen him play rash shots and get out trying to hog the glory. And I don't rate his bowling in anything other than T20 where even Hodge does well. Overall, he is a Liberian version of Suresh Raina.
rahulrulezz Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I hope you are watching the IPL. o please..u joking me... 1 ininngs out of like 20 and he is your man..have u been following IPL and all the matches he played for India..... Fact is Jadeja is useless itsy bitsy player who doesnt even deserve to play for India A.... specially for a guy who come at number 8, he just doesnt have it...

He has played only ODI where he made 60. And he made 700 plus runs and took 42 wickets in the first class for the last calendar year. He has been doing well in the IPL.

I rather take a quickfire 30 than that selfish useless 60 of his where he didnt even try to hit a single ball for 4 when the run rate was above 9.. leaving the job of hitting runs to tailenders is an cowardly attitude and this current Indian team dont need these kinda players...

Are you saying it is so easy to come in at no.8 against Mendis and Murali and blast his way through a century on debut? 60 in 77 for a 20 year old debutant is bad? You know what the score was when he walked in? 138 for 6. Are you saying some other promising debutant would have chased down 320 from that spot? If i remember yusuf pathan was a nervous wreck in his first ODI innings. It is not easy sir to blast your way through. In the IPL he proved he is more than capable of hitting big sixes. He is just 20. He is already showing signs of maturity. He also has better technique than some of the ODI specialists we have.
amits Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 jadeja is more of a bowler, took 42 wickets & was the leading wicket-taker in ranji trophy. even in ipl, except yestersays match, he had a economy rate of <6 & took crucial wickets everytime
Lord Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 quality player.great temperament he has.thats why ojha wasnt needed in T20 WC.we have a decent left arm spinner who can also bat well
gaurav92 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 jadeja chalega aur marega aur jeetega and finally jeetaaega...:winky:
Shane Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 The inconsistency of RJad is highlighted here, he should be dropped from the RR squad with immediate effect, he doesnt even deserve a spot in the Rajathan Junior Team, Kick this Tw@@t out Look at the economy rate and the average below, i think its time he gets Deported to Namibia, or may be he wont even get his chance with this pathetic display, the 3/15 he got was such a fluke, it was almost like the RCB batsman gifted their wickets, just to keep him in the eleven. What a selfish ( unt, he bats and bowls and fields too, depriving other souls of a chance to prove themselves, he should defn get the boot. I hope u agree with me now, Rahul ?
sharma Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 What a selfish ( unt, he bats and bowls and fields too, depriving other souls of a chance to prove themselves, he should defn get the boot. i completely agree with shane here.:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
vipin Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 IMO Ravindra Jadeja > Yusuf Pathan as an ODI all rounder Reasons 1) More consistent with the bat 2) Much more variations with the ball 3) Isnt completely clueless against real pace bowling
amits Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 if we ever decide to go with 5 bowlers again in a test match, then jadeja should get a chance. he is currently the 4th best spinner we have after harbhajan, mishra & ojha

I know you will say he was the highest wicket taker in ranjis , but being honest we have seen his bowling and he definitely isn't the 4th best spinner we have. If he was he would consistently bowl 4 overs a match for RR. He may be in the top 7 - 8 though. I will be tempted to place piyush chawla , jakati et al above him for sure.
