i think you guys feel the same way when the kannada people make noises about "outside people" in bangalore where kannadigas have become a minority.i dont see any outsiders trying to learn kannada or even make an effort.how about the same treatment for them-make them learn kannada since its the "official" language of karnataka?.i this "UN-politically correct" enough?

I think it is the Pakis that are ****ing up Britain more than anything.
The extreme fundamentalist Muslims are in England. It is at a real breaking point there :nervous:

vav I missed this. Bangalore is just a city (state), India is bigger. No Indian should feel left out of any Indian city because she doesn't know the local language. Sure, it'll be great if she makes an effort to learn the local lingo, but it should be a choice. It is not the same with people coming over from a different country. That said, I know English, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada - filling all the criterion for country, mother and state. :isalute:

WTF? Every hotel receptionist in India can speak in English. How can they not in UK or US? I don't blame the receptionist. I blame the one who appointed him. In fact, hotel receptionists and supposed to speak more than one international languages.

Well, sometimes its tough to understand the funny British accent as well and god bless the receptionist if its a drunk flintoff

Here in India, even when I try and initiate conversations in Hindi, the replies are always in English(no matter how bad the English is). :dontknow: Angrez chale gaye....
