adi B Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 never get that fookin prasad back, he will destroy the new young pacers, mithun, aravind, vinay, irfan would be regulars then

Sent from my GT-I9103 using Tapatalk I agree bowling isn't bad. It's pathetic. 1 fkng wicket for a score of 800 runs should not be achieved on any surface. Our bowlers are ****ing brainless. Even with a defensive field, they gave close to 350 + runs in a day.

Laaloo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Sacking Prasad has really lifted the Indian bowling fortunes. We're bowling PHAAAASTERRRR!!!!! B->

The Outsider Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Time for my periodic bump for the phaashht brigade of ICF and the wonders that the sacking of Prasad has done to our bowling fortunes. The best and most consistent period of our bowling in recent times was when Prasad was the bowling coach from England 2007 onward, when they were fired because our idiot batsmen could not face short pitch bowling.

I remember somebody on ICF mentioning about how correlation does not necessarily translate into causation.. Wonder who could that be..:dontknow::hmmm:
King Tendulkar Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Those slamming should remeber prasad that under his interim coaching leadership we did very well. Test series win in england and 20/20 wc chapms. It seems that cos he was a medium pacer who relied on swing and seam. Its automatically assumed that he advises bowlers to cut down pace and look for movement. There is no evidence he advises this and is purley myths and gossip. Please remeber that during his bowling coaching Z Khan has been awesome, should he then not take credit for that? Also for last 90 years we harldy ever produced serious pacers, is that his fault as well? I have a feeling that a new bowling coach will come in and you won't suddenly see the brilliant bowling form the team you may expect. Also dont think a new fileding coach will change things that much as am sure Robin has been attempting to drill in the basics to people like Nehra. But at international level you should not be having to coach basics but unforynatley he has had to. I guarantee no new super coach is going to turn the fans fav Nehra in to a greyhound Their sacking was a joke. Plus look at the way prasasd got blamed for medium pacers. Now look at us with Balaji and Crapthan trundling away. Prasad stuff was pure myth and bs

Why people forget that it was same Prasad's tenure when these same bowlers went down hill too so who was responsible for that. If Prasad was given praise for their good performances then he should be blamed for their poor performances too and for that he was sacked not because batsmen did not do well against short pitch bowling. No?

No? So t20 cricket becomes the judge of bowlers progress.the improvement indian bowlers showed under prasad is unrivalled and its a fact.we bowled cross seam balls ,cutters in india which we have forgotten.most guys would take prasad over dawes and eric anyday.regarding bowlers losing pace as ishant said it was his own fault trying to copy zak.

In fact, I do not believe a bowling coach can do wonders while with the team or he has much influence how bowlers bowl because he does not get much time to work on them. So having a bowling coach with the national team is very much futile unless he gets free time to work with them.

Everything looks good in hindsight, but then why people were crying for their heads?
msb1991 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Yeah. They are far too keen to search for some perfect coach who doesn't actually exist.

G_B_ Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Because 'people' are far too ignorant to appreciate something good when we have it. They are far too keen to search for some perfect coach who doesn't actually exist. so why do RCB have the *****iest bowling attack in the IPL? Its not as if Prasad has gone on to impress since. Last season RCB were even more horrible. Somebody like Vinay kumar was even more abysmal than this usual standards. Maybe rather than saying India bowled well during the Prasad tenure we can say Zaheer khan's county stint lifted the entire bowling attack. Arvind was so **** even ranji players were smashing him at will. Robin singh i dont know why he was sacked.
Crookbond Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 ^ Decide on what point you are arguing first [1] Prasad as a bowling coach [2] Prasad as a bowling coach versus other India bowling coaches Stop making a khichdi of the two.
PaceAttack Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I still remember him asking for Vinny kumar and Shreenath aravind to get selected for Indian team. He was actually disappointed that Varun made his debut and not Aravind.
