Indus_Army Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 230/6 - Gautam gone. Thankfully Pandey is still there and can form a formidable combination with the old fox, Joshi. That said, Punjab are the favourtes at this stage
Rajan Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I always considered Aniridha Srikkanth(younger son of K.Srikkanth) as an iffy batsman. as an opener,he used to throw away good starts with mindless shots just like his father. so, even though he had scored a few half centuries in the league phase, i was not sure he had the temperament to play the important game like QF especially when M.Vijay and A.Mukund were sure to open for TN.but may be Dinesh Karthik's unexpected National duty gave him an opprtunity to be included in the team as a middle order batsman. but the youngster has performed admirably and controlled his strokeplay and scored a very important hundred against a decent bowling attack of Delhi. Good on him. Match is interestingly poised.
Feed Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Ranji Day 2: UP, Mumbai and TN in control Rudra Pratap Singh and Piyush Chawla claimed two wickets each to help Uttar Pradesh take a vital 64-run first innings lead after Assam were bowled out for a mere 149 on the second day of the Ranji Trophy quarter-final in Guwahati, on Friday. The Outsider Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Good going by UP. P Kumar will be available now for the Semis, though Tyagi and Raina would still be missing.

vvvslaxman Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Dang.. lol TN played so well upto this point. Even here they played well. Just not good enough. But kinda expected as they are like Indian ODI team. Depends heavily on batting without worrying about getting 20 wickets.
