So Pak are scoring at around 2 1/2 runs po, 40 overs remain, around 100 more runs. So assume they close the day at around 250/5,and bat till lunch on day 3 theyll effectively give Aus a sneaky chance of drawing. They have to start upping the run rate a tad.

The only way Ponting can save face is by scoring a hundred here and set Pak a 200+ target. Batting is not looking too difficult now, but OZ will be wary of Kaneria since Hauritz was getting turn.
