I am not one to gloat but some of these predictions were quite close. Consider the following: This was on Day 1

By the end of tomorrow' date=' Australia will bat again, take a 50 run lead, bat into the third day and set [b']Pak a target around 220 odd runs. CD's will have their customary collapse and lose to Australia by some 30 - 40 runs
Australia set Pak 175 and won by 36 runs. This was yesterday (Day 3)
Pakistan' date=' on the other hand, from their body language, interviews etc seem nervous chasing anything 150 odd. Clearly, they are burdened by past failures and their chronic collapses are playing heavily on their mind. [b']If they do chase, they will be venturing into unchartered terrority, not knowing how to approach their innings, what mindset to adpot, how to pace their reply.
A pacy start but than what ?
Tomorrow' date= he will aim to keep as much of the strike, shield Bollinger as much as possible, take the singles when the field is pushed back, cut the 'hit me balls' Danish bowls every over. Bollinger will swipe, and swipe hard, with his runs going over slip, down to third man and the occasional slog sweep. Pakistan will became frustrated, fumble, misfield and will carry this negativity through to their batting.
Pretty accurate description of what happened this morning. Hussey retained most of the strike, got his century while Bollinger provided support.
Looking at Pakistan's top order, Imran, Butt and Iqbal, are you GAME enough to back the T20 generation to survive the bowling ?
All three were dismissed cheaply, in quick sucession
Misbah is on the verge of being dropped and has done nothing to inspire confidence that he can deliever.
Misbah was out first ball.

This match was gone from Australia's grasp for all money. I dont know how anyone could justifiably predict an Aussie victory, especially after day 2. Sure, you could say your instinct says this and that, but how Pakistan managed to lose this match is beyond comprehension. This has to rate as one of THE biggest cockups in the history of the game...
