Lord Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 who goes out wen UV comes back i'll still prefer Raina to be there.he can hit big shots n accelerate the scoring, but its very tough choice
Andy Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 who goes out wen UV comes back i'll still prefer Raina to be there.he can hit big shots n accelerate the scoring, but its very tough choice :dito:
bharat297 Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I honestly wouldn't mind either way but Raina has done a bit more over a longer period of time and should probably retain his spot
Texy Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 either Sachin or Viru should get rest and Virat should be retained along w/ raina for the last ODI at least...how do you remove someone after scoring a century that too in a crucial stage
Lord Posted December 25, 2009 Author Posted December 25, 2009 either Sachin or Viru should get rest and Virat should be retained along w/ raina for the last ODI at least...how do you remove someone after scoring a century that too in a crucial stage both will be ther in Delhi as UV isnt playing,i'm talkin wen he comes back
Sooda Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 so it Yuvraj back for the next match? Definitely give Raina preference, he's the more experienced and senior guy
Lord Posted December 25, 2009 Author Posted December 25, 2009 so it Yuvraj back for the next match? Definitely give Raina preference, he's the more experienced and senior guy no hes out of the series
urbestfriend Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 who goes out wen UV comes back i'll still prefer Raina to be there.he can hit big shots n accelerate the scoring, but its very tough choice Thread :fail: ,This question shouldn't be asked in the first place... Raina has not performed badly to give his place away, kohli has to make way for Yuvi
spectre Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 stupid thread why should Raina even be in contention for getting knocked out, when he has not done anything to deserve it. He just scored a freaking fast 60 odd runs when the kohlis and polis got the team to a commanding 120ish for 4 If they want Kohli to be there, play 7 proper bastman
The Dark Horse Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Raina has performed well over a period of time.. Virat should wait if UV comes back.
rahulrulezz Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 WTH.. Why the hell are people trying to kick out Raina... he is a big matchwinner for us... We are playin with 5 bowlers right now..one of them needs to be kicked out..we saw the results of playing 5 specialists bowlers against Australia
Show_stopper Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Even after he is back....can Kohli play at #6? its not something every youngster can do despite having the ability to bat at the top.
cowboysfan Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Kohli is destined to ride the pine as long as our top 6 are healthy or Raina's form abroad falls drastically.
vvvslaxman Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 If Yuvi comes back he can be used a bowler. Kick Ishant out. :winky:
saneindian Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 For the next ODI, the 5th one against SL, both should play. Sachin should rest. For the next ODI series in BD, again rest Sachin so that both Raina and Virat could play.
Little_Master Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I am confident both of them will retain their spots...we might go ahead with the 7 batsmen and 4 bowler combo...specially with UV, Viru and Raina...they can very well chip in with 3-4 overs each and fulfill the roll of the 5th bowler. Dhoni has used UV pretty well....often having him bowl 6-8 overs when he's bowling well. I sincerely hope we go ahead with the 7 batsmen 4 bowler combo as it should be effective since all our bowlers are crappy anyways. If Irfan Pathan ever gets selected than we might have a really good lower order with Bajji, irfan, PK, Jadeja...everyone being able to chip in with a little bit when selected for a game.
vvvslaxman Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Virat has done well in other matches like India A, domestic matches. Virat finished as the top run getter in India list A matches.
Lord Posted December 25, 2009 Author Posted December 25, 2009 Even after he is back....can Kohli play at #6? its not something every youngster can do despite having the ability to bat at the top. thats exactly my point,Raina is good finisher n can hit in the death
Lord Posted December 25, 2009 Author Posted December 25, 2009 stupid thread why should Raina even be in contention for getting knocked out, when he has not done anything to deserve it. He just scored a freaking fast 60 odd runs when the kohlis and polis got the team to a commanding 120ish for 4 If they want Kohli to be there, play 7 proper bastman Kohli also scored a 54 in that game. as for playing 7 batsmen,i dont see it happening.none of our bowlers r great n if he gets hammered,Dhoni will be forced to bowl his 10 overs n using part timers is always risky
vvvslaxman Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 For one dayers Raina hasn't done anything wrong. 2009 Indian performance in ODIs
