Sachinism
Ranji Day 3 - Prem Panicker http://prempanicker.wordpress.com/2010/01/13/ranji-day-three/ :two_thumbs_up: The eye-catcher, aside from the bowling was easily young Manish Pandey. The lad clearly has talent to burn, attitude ditto; the pull he played off Agarkar to get to his 50 — off the front foot to a short of length ball on this kind of deck, hitting to the left of mid wicket — was a sight for the gods, as was a cover drive and a clip off his legs that would have done top flight internationals proud. He clearly merits a go at the highest level — trick is, how on earth are selectors going to slot the lad into a team that seems to have a half dozen decent contenders vying for two or three places? The answer to that one is going to be interesting to watch. Link to comment
cowboysfan
^^^but isnt he a cowlasher,i dont trust panicker:--D Link to comment
Sachinism
The 100 Pandey scored in the IPL was cowlashed, but his innings after that showed he has some pretty classy shots too. This year he's shown he can score in Ranji trophy vs (average bowlers), but he's built some good innings, if he puts in a good performance tomorrow, when it really matters and his team have their backs against the wall, it'll do a lot for his career Link to comment

coffee_rules
Yeh you can' date=' but Pandey's was just really ugly, some really horrible looking slogs[/quote'] So TF What? Runs are important. I think everybody bats that way in T20. Ugliest is Raina when he slog sweeps, his right leg bends out out. Ugliest left hander, uglier than Allan Border. Link to comment
Guest NeutralCricket
What baout dhoni...Old helicpoter shot..Doesnt matter winning is more important than Aesthetics :giggle:...If thats the Case Collingwood should never became a cricketer..have Cut wood only.... Link to comment
Cricketics
Karnataka is in similar situation as Pakistan in first test where they started the day with 2 wickets in the first over by Mitch Johnson. and AUs won the game almost in first session. Let's hope Karnataka don't bat like Pak and would give some fight cauz Mumbai are favorites from here Link to comment
Sachinism
OK fair enough getting runs is what matters. But from watching that slogging, did you think hey this guy should be playing for India, he looks to have everything required to play for the national team? He just looked a slogger, after watching his next innings, I had a very different opinion of him. Link to comment
rkt.india
quite right, but runs matter not style, look at Rohit Sharma, style with confused temperament Link to comment
Dravid
the way pandey times his shots through the off side is all class.. he is not much of a slogger.. Link to comment
Sachinism
My point is the 100 was cowlashed, why don't people get that Look at his wagon wheel 64 runs between square leg and straight http://www.cricinfo.com/ipl2009/engine/current/match/392236.html?view=wagon Since then he's batted a lot better Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Where do you put your money. Game in the balance. Mumbai's plus point is they know how to push for win. They will come out guns blazing. Link to comment
