The eye-catcher, aside from the bowling was easily young Manish Pandey. The lad clearly has talent to burn, attitude ditto; the pull he played off Agarkar to get to his 50 — off the front foot to a short of length ball on this kind of deck, hitting to the left of mid wicket — was a sight for the gods, as was a cover drive and a clip off his legs that would have done top flight internationals proud. He clearly merits a go at the highest level — trick is, how on earth are selectors going to slot the lad into a team that seems to have a half dozen decent contenders vying for two or three places? The answer to that one is going to be interesting to watch.

The 100 Pandey scored in the IPL was cowlashed, but his innings after that showed he has some pretty classy shots too. This year he's shown he can score in Ranji trophy vs (average bowlers), but he's built some good innings, if he puts in a good performance tomorrow, when it really matters and his team have their backs against the wall, it'll do a lot for his career

Karnataka is in similar situation as Pakistan in first test where they started the day with 2 wickets in the first over by Mitch Johnson. and AUs won the game almost in first session. Let's hope Karnataka don't bat like Pak and would give some fight cauz Mumbai are favorites from here

But from watching that slogging, did you think hey this guy should be playing for India, he looks to have everything required to play for the national team? He just looked a slogger, after watching his next innings, I had a very different opinion of him.
