not sure about that bowls at 122 ks, this is the same problem with Dhaval Kulkarni, too slow even for domestic standards, not a good bowling action, i saw Sandeep Sharma and he looks much better in fast bowling basics, haven't seen Unadkat, but he looks the paciest of them all, was bowling up to 135-139 ks, Harshal Patel isn't that impressive.

All rite, since tour is over for our Indian team in NZ, I have to say this Mandeep Singh is something special. Is from Chandigarh, would definatley manage to sneak into the Punjab Ranji team for sure. Then you can expect to see him represent India. Has good shots, great fielder. Virat Kohli look alike in the field, and when running between the wickets and standing at non strikers end, he might look like Dinesh Karthik :cantstop: but ya, a good prospect for sure.

That's what I had heard, but looking at this thread, it sounds like he barely bowls 125kph. And unlike all other teams where U-19 bowlers get faster as they grow, our bowlers only get slower

Mandeep Singh Mandeep Singh Born December 18, 1991, Jalandhar, Punjab Current age 18 years 57 days Having modeled himself on Tendulkar, he seems to have fairly good technique. He looked solid when he connected his shots. Short in height. Good forward defense and good defensive technique in general. Looks for quick singles and likes to rotate the strike. Good fielder as well. Can clear the ground when he wants to as well. Little bit uncertain outside the offstump. He had a good tour of Australia having scored 151 off 113 balls in a youth ODI. He’s started his List A career for Punjab well by hitting two half centuries in his first two matches against Haryana and Delhi. A batsman to watch out for sure in the future.

After a fairly good outing in the Ranji ODI, here comes the first Ranji Trophy season for Mandeep. Really looking forward to how he does.
