Despite Akmal's brother's momentary faltering - Pakistan managed to save their reputation and thus avoided impending embarrassment of winning a match. Umar can be excused because he is still new. But Kamran was criminally selfish. He had no business scoring all those runs against the team goal. There is a general consensus in the Pakistani dressing room that you may score some runs from time to time to ensure your position in the team, but such personal landmarks can be chased only after the match is safely lost. Kamran however put his personal goals above the team interest and scored runs dangerously when the match was still winnable. That put his team mates under tremendous pressure, but with the experience and unmatched skills, they just managed to drive Pakistan home. Link to comment

Ram
Their total lack of self belief becomes so apparent in these easy-wins-converted-into-close-defeat matches. Its obvious that the team's morale is in total tatters and they're essentially for some piece of individual brilliance to bail 'em out. That sort of attitude doesnt work so well in test cricket coz in that format, you need the team to be able to play some disciplined cricket over many sessions, but it could work in T20, which explains their success in that format. But now, even that is not working. Link to comment

King
By now Pakis must be looking forward to bugger off from Australia ASAP. Wonder when they are visiting Australia again? This series would have dented a lot of players and every time they think of touring Aus, Pakistan players will be shaking in their boots. Link to comment
