Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 The girl with the dragon tattoo ----> 9 The girl who played with fire ---->7 The girl who kicked the hornets nest ----> 5 The 3rd becomes a bit boring in the middle but since 2nd film is very open-ended, you have to watch 3 just to complete the story arc. i thought girl with dragon tattoo was a bit overrated the story was too long, and they took too long to develop the connection between killings of jews, bible/references with nazism. and that wasnt even central to the plot either.

The girl who kicked the hornets nest ----> yet to watch I heard a lot about the Millennium trilogy and watched the first two parts. Have to say that dragon tattoo is simply awesome .... Fire is good too but not as good as the first one .... I have heard the hornets nest is as good as the first so will check it out soon Watched the hornets nest so completed the Millennium trilogy today! .... Would give it 7.5/10 Those are conservative rating though. You could add 1/2 a point to those rankings easily :P

But if anyone says 'X' would have done a better job than Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth, s/he is an idiot. If Rooney Mara (The Social Network) does half decent job as Noomi (in the US version), she would have done well.

Two movies on this. 1. kampen om tungtvannet -norwegian ,realistic story which included some of the actual raiders reprising their real life exploits ! 2. the heroes of telemark -(hollywood) kirk douglas and richard harris. more dramatic elements added to actual events. one old time war classic "The man who never was" Allies in one of their many deception plans to keep germany guessing to actual targets of invasion,this time sicily or greece. thrill a minute! Odette- 1950 british movie. a real life resistance SOE agent in france who was lucky to survie the war despite being arrested. considering that others like violette szabo, noor inayat khan in captivity were all shot ow the hell did she survive. Let me pay tributes to brave women like aylar lie , reshma, silk smitha who have withstood dire threats ranging from death threats to abuses to keep men entertained. long live their indomitable courage under fire!
