CSK Fan Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Have a $25 Fandango movie gift card.....debating between watching Skyfall or waiting for Lincoln/Life-of-Pi next week.... Kanjusi na karyo. It wouldn't hurt you to pay for a movie once in a while. My recommendation, watch all 3
CSK Fan Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Life of Pi - no two ways. Lincoln is historical if you like such films. I am still doubtful on how they will translate such a story (Life of Pi) onto the big screen
Sooda Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 ^Yes, I have similar doubts around Cloud Atlas Last night watced two very ordinary films Total Recall (the Colin farrell remake) and The Camapaign. Dissapointed by both especially the Camapign, expected more from a comedy with those two leads, plus it was reasonbaly well reviewed. Chuckled in parts but oberall it was quite unfunny. Total Recall is a decent action film...nothing great though
Crookbond Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I am still doubtful on how they will translate such a story (Life of Pi) onto the big screen Fair enough but I think making the movie 3D was a good move and will help do it justice.
maniac Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Saw a Telugu movie after ages eega aka makkhi in Hindi.......very entertaining movie....must watch for kids...though we have a long way to go in terms of graphics, still one of the better cgi effects in Indian movies Really impressed by sudeep the guy who plays the villain in this movie..Hindi audiences might know him from some of the recent forgettable rgv movies....seriously mind blowing performance....one of the best performances in recent times.... Really impressive movie and all credit to the director who took a ridiculous concept and made it into something really entertaining

It's not in the terms of graphics but in the terms of attitude. There was a CG movie of Ramayana which was developed by a bunch of Indians that studied abroad. Looked spectacular but wasn't given the licence to release and they give these dumb clowns to release their horrible CG movies.

It is the best Indian movie I have seen in terms of graphics. Might not be spectacular but definitely not horrible.
CSK Fan Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 EEGA movie had amazing graphics. Dont know what these people are talking about
maniac Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 EEGA movie had amazing graphics. Dont know what these people are talking about If you read my post....I said eega had one of the better graphics for an Indian movie but that's not saying a lot.......as I said it was one of the best Indian movies in recent times in terms of novelty, acting and direction but as far as graphics goes....I have seen kids making YouTube videos with better graphics than that Vast improvement on previous cgi based attempts but still not upto i international standards solely in terms of graphics
bangladeshifan Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 EEGA movie had amazing graphics. Dont know what these people are talking about true.
cowboysfan Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Skyfall is an action movie with James bond in it,there is no story(even for a Bond movie) and large parts of the movie are redundant.

Precambrian Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 eega is basically the english movie Cockroach (2010) remade with added revenge element.. The original talks about a husband and wife, the husband gets hit by a car and reincarnates as a cockroach to tell his wife about the same.

They typically have a budget of 150 million dollars(7500 crores) and above and they are made by thousands of animators with decades of expertise. Their audience is global, i.e everyone from America, Europe, Asia, Africa, watch Pixar, Dreamworks movies. You are comparing that to a telugu film with a fraction of that budget(30 crores) and for an audience mostly within one state in India. Dont understand how people who are not involved in filmmaking and dont know anything about the practical side of it can talk about making movies like its a walk in the park.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Costliest ollywood film till date budget 300 million dollars.
