The cinematography and lighting is awesome for an indian movie. On par with hollywood movies. Lately some Tamizh movies are using the Red One camera, instead of spending in foreign locations and stuff.
Detonator Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Moodarkoodam - 10/10. Never seen a Tamizh movie like this for a long time. A big slap on the face of hacks like Shankar, post-2000 mani ratnam and other dumbass directors. Another movie shot in Red One and its awesome too. Lately some Tamizh movies are using the Red One camera (rent is 25k per day), which gives a rich look, instead of giving away money for "stars", spending in foreign locations and stuff.This is a healthy trend as the movie industy is learning to make good movies without stars. A must watch. P.S: The director is from a place very near to velu's hometown :--D
adi B Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 raanjhana - good movie and a very touching last scene grand masti - saw 2 weeks ago,fun movie with no substantial story tbh,double meaning jokes and glamour(it was a lot more than that :winky:) were at its highest :haha:..some scenes were copied from hollywood movies bruna abdullah and the other 2 chicks were uber hot..all in all paisa vasool

Amitabh's "Angry Young Man" character staterd a trend in Tamizh movies. Oomai Vizhigal nearly killed that entire genre, as it made the such movies look stupid. AB would ve been a nobody if a movie like that released in hindi in 80's. And this guy Naveen has a huge potential and he could well set a trend. He along with Nalan (Soodu Kavvum) are a rare breed who just have a sheer joy of making a movie. Never seen such directors in India for a long time.
