Went just cuz of the name of the movie and DiCaprio.. but boy it was a drug and naked body fest... endless cussing.. There was not a lot of substance in the movie.. but had lot of substance abuse... DiCaprio generally picks good movies.. but not this one. I was surprised to see his name as one of the producers though. I would give 5/10... just cuz of DiCaprio's active. that was because its not exactly an original story but is based on a book of the same name by Jordan Belfour If you have read the book you would see that the movie has done justice to what was in the book......drugs, sex, parties, money, money and more money... Really liked it, I agree it was not Scorcese-esque but didn't feel like a 3 hr film, totally madcap, genuinely funny in parts with Leo in top form. I have not seen 12 Years.. or Capt Phillips yet but he is surely a front runner for best actor Oscar. Jonah Hill also excellent

If you look at other MS hits like Goodfellas the movie is awesome for the first 2/3 of the time then the party is over, you know how its going to end.....Wolf followed the same pattern. It was more about the scenes on their own rather than the film itself. Its about the comedy of Jonah Hill (in Goodfellas that role falls to Vinny) a certain type of dark comedy. I mean you even had Leo narrating in the same style of Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.

Bit of a glorified villain. It started with Mean Streets then you have Goodfellas then you have Casino etc etc. Takes you for a awesome ride 2/3 in the movie and then **** hits the fan in the final 3rd....

If Gangs Of New York wasn't based on a book, it was something different from Scorsese compared to the rest but at some stage Day Lewis does turn out to be the 'good guy'. Yeah, he had this period with DeNiro and now he's got DiCaprio leading in most of his flicks. More like Coppula prefered Al Pacino & Brando during his time but both rejected most of the roles, Hitchcock and Stewart. And now you got Tarantino and C.Waltz duo. Started with Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained and Waltz is starring in his new movie as well.

Lol He didn't act in the movie- just did small voice over as narrator ; Tarantino does these kind of gimmicks which are more for trivia than the actual movie
