Ghajini is a dhengin BARF FEST. My faith in the absolute doucchebaggery of Hindi films has been fully restored. Asin's acting - I'd rather watch a pig puke on boolsheet. They had the dhenging gall to COPY Amelie also. No more Hindi cr.ap.

Sriram, your comments come after his success and persona, Aamir has always been like a Progressive Jackpot machine. You think the beginning was QSQT? ( it was a great success mainly due to the direction ) His first official mistake was "Raakh" ( 1989 - times when we played gully cricket on streets of pali hill ) ), he admitted it but surprisingly the movie was actually very good, his 2nd official fark up was Aatank hi Aatank IMO ( a movie I would say before its time, I though i was brilliant ) - his sisters also have a big say in his movie picking, he is moody too and likes perfection to his liking
The thing is, I started watching Hindi movies quite late, maybe well after 2000. So, I am not a 100% aware of people like Aamir did in the earlier part of their careers.
Thought the bolded ones were crap' date=' so I guess there is a good chance you will enjoy Ghajini.[/quote'] Shwetabh, its all relative. I would ALWAYS prefer to watch an English movie over an Indian one, whether it be Hindi or Tamil. But, given what we have, there are very few actors who give us meaningful scripts and Aamir is one of them. And Lagaan was crap? Really? Why?

TBH, I tend to only watch movies with actors like Akshay kumar and amir khan. that's about it. SRK is gay, Salman Khan is a non state acting paki

Honestly, I don't find anything "meaningful" in most of Aamir Khan's movies. Lagaan was utter rot! The script suffered from a colonial hangover and had "let's get one up on the goras" written all over it. The characters were completely nonsensical, specially the cricket team. Not to mention the stupid songs thrown it at the drop of the hat, specially the English one.

I watched Curious Case of Bejamin Button yesterday! The technical part of the movie is quite good, and acting is solid too. But once you know the premise, there aren't many twists/surprises in the movie though.

I love the hypocrisy of our fellow Indians, they complain that most Hindi films dont have logic and are stupid (true, not denying it) but will lap up Hollywood films which also dont make sense.

is lost really that good ? I usually dont watch programs like lost ... I prefer comedy or movies as there are way too many advertisements on free to air. If lost is really that good then I can get the dvd Please suggest
Its really addictive. You are only 4 seasons behind (~80 episodes :P). The new season starts on January 21st....you should be able to catch up by the Jan 20 :two_thumbs_up:.. I started from scratch and I am about to catch up completely (started from Dec 8 --> Jan 3) ...I took breaks :cantstop:

Slumdog Millionaire -- another attempt of gora portrayal of poor, dirty, third world Indians with evil Hindus rioting. Wonder who is the main hand behind the film? I was not surprised the complete lack of any mention in the film about Evangelical missionaries, everyone knows when it comes to "helping" poor in slums, missionaries act like vultures and pray upon those heathens. may be just a casual scene of an evangelic slipping a bible along with food packet to a slum dweller followed by a question to Slumdog about Bible in the show --- aaah but again we are talking about being fair and neutral from Westerners. :giggle:

24 -- i never found interesting ...its all about crime n stuff. find it depressing tbh alias-- i havnet heard of it b4, can you shed some light. heroes-awesome house- ok criminal minds- havnt heard of it , if its abt crime then i dnt think that it;d intrest me prison brk-- 1st season was good, now its all masala time pass, i still follow it ========== some shows i'd recommend , i like sci fi shows i get .. something to do with supernatural with some science thrown to make it believable... dexter-- about a serial killer who has so many shades to his character.set in miami PD eureka--about a secret govt city where teh best minds from the world live and invent stuff n all. the 4400-- 4400 ppl were abducted from the earth in different periods of times and now they are back altogether , without ageing even a single day. and they have abilities. chuck-funny
