coffee_rules Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 http://perceptz.blogspot.com/2010/05/test-crickets-virtuoso-batsmen.html A long overdrawn methodology to rate test batsmen. Finally says Tendulkar Lara Gavaskar among all the post-war batsmen. Now, we all knew that even before the long drawn anal.
achilles Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Sunil Gavaskar. Without an element of doubt in my mind.
CSK Fan Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Sunil Gavaskar. Without an element of doubt in my mind. Pahle pad to leh article, what it is about
satyam1729 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Lara & Ponting are the best of past 2 decades. Tendulkar averaged 58 in 90s compared to Lara 51 and Ponting 46 :giggle::giggle:
Clarke Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Lara & Ponting are the best of past 2 decades. No Inzi bhai ? how impartial of u.
Laaloo Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Lara & Ponting are the best of past 2 decades. You do realize that 2 decades = 20 years right?
UmarAkmal Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Tendulkar averaged 58 in 90s compared to Lara 51 and Ponting 46 :giggle::giggle: Sachin failed against Pakistan with average of 42. Sachin averaged in 30s in 1999 series against 2 W's who were past their prime. Matches against Pakistan means extra pressure where Sachin have failed.

Matches against Pakistan means extra pressure where Sachin have failed. Lara averaged 21 against 2 Ws in 1998 right. ?:haha::hysterical: And Sehwag averages 91 against Pakistan. :haha: What happened to 2 Ws in WC 2003 :haha::haha::haha:

Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Sachin failed against Pakistan with average of 42. Lara failed against us averaging 35 and against NZ averaging 41. But that dosn't matter I guess, right? Oh wait, he's a West Indian, isn't it? That's more than sufficient reason that those figures dosn't matter. Sachin averaged in 30s in 1999 series against 2 W's who were past their prime. :haha: At least know your facts correctly. He averaged much more than 40 in that series. And Waqar averaged 69 odd with the ball in that series. Matches against Pakistan means extra pressure where Sachin have failed. :hysterical::hysterical: You're embarrassing yourself kid. Take a hike. Or at least find better reasons (which you can't, I'm sure). According to Test cricket tradition, a batsman need to average at least 40 odd with the bat to be a considered a 'good' Test match batsman. If an average of 42 is termed as 'failed', then your cricket knowledge is just as good as my knowledge about the NFL.

mastana Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Lara & Ponting are the best of past 2 decades. When did Pakistan adopt them? :hmmm:
Chorazin Reto Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Id be more interested in who people think is the current best test match batsman based on form over the last year or two.
satyam1729 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Id be more interested in who people think is the current best test match batsman based on form over the last year or two. sehwag
TumTum Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 :hysterical: What a failure of a comparison done by the person at your link
Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 When did Pakistan adopt them? :hmmm: Lara was adopted long before in the 90's. Ponting was adopted since about 2005. It keeps changing. The one who is good enough to give Tendulkar a run for his money for a certain period, gets adopted by most of them.
Ranjha Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Batsmen 1990s ----> Inzi 2000s ----> MoYo :P You forgot the legendary Afreeeedi........Pakis will be very upset.
