Rajiv Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 For the first time in my life I am happy to see Pak win and Aus lose. Hopefully this signals the beginning of the end for Punter. I like that
Guest sachin200 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Congrats Pakistan on their first test match victory against Australia in 15 years :punter: :finger:
Desi Cartman Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 lol ... Moron decided to bowl first .. Is he blind or something that he didnt see the clouds ? BTW well done Pak, PS: yes MM Pak's bowling is better than our bowling
ali0786 Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Well, I am completely gutted. I really really didn’t want Pakistan to win this, which is pretty rare for me because I don’t generally care that much about non-India results. This win will bolster our neighbors’ argument that all along, it was their pathetic batting that had let them down and their bowling attack is world class (read, better than India’s). Even our loss in the first test against Lanka didn’t hurt as much. haha wow you really have problems if our win hurts you more than your loss... Everyone knows that Pakistan's bowling is better than India, and India's batting is miles ahead of Pakistan. This is nothing new.
asterix Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Pak's bowling is miles ahead of Indian bowling..Even in the spin department too..Kaneria chipped in too with few wickets..
IKnowU Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ^Well right now their bowling attack is a notche above India's, no question about it. . :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Are you serious???? More like a country mile apart from India.......our bowling attack is comparable with Bangbros or Kenya. The padosi attack is the best in the world atm. They have out and out phasst bowler who can swing, a genuine hit the deck hard bowler, a genuine classic medium pace swing bowler.

IKnowU Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I think the English attack at the moment is up there too Yes they too are rising, but need to be tested against slightly better teams and in test matches.

SA is the best attack.they did well in India,in Aus n even flatbeds of WI
The Outsider Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 Pakistan attack is the best? LOL! They are playing in some of the most bowling friendly conditions in the world - NZ, Australia (Sydney), and England. As soon as the sun comes out in England, the likes of Hilfenhaus start smashing them till kingdom come. Mediocre attack, which will get exposed spectacularly later in the summer when there won't be as much assistance to the fast bowlers.

Thats what I was alluding to in this post in another thread: Their intensity drops off when the going gets tough, as was shown yesterday during the Ponting - Clarke partnership. I think their bowling attack is over rated to be honest, when was the last time they took 20 wickets to win a test match ? For all the hype of being one of the best bowling attacks, where are the results ? Heck, even the tail enders scored 120 odd runs off them in the last match with Hilfenhaus getting a 50.

Well look at Pakistans perforamance in SL on their last two tours and then start your talks about helpful conditions.
The Outsider Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 Well look at Pakistans perforamance in SL on their last two tours and then start your talks about helpful conditions. What is there to look at? You lost 2-0 in the last series and won the previous one because of a drug cheat who was convicted a few months later and continued to take drugs.
Clarke Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Adopted son finally delivers for them .. anyways well done, a win is a win.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Their bowlers totally max it out in conditions which assist swing. They are the best bowlers in those kind of conditions. a bit of cloud cover, a fresh first day wicket, movement through the air, and they will run through any batting lineup. a bit like how the sri lankan batsmen are the best on flat tracks. guys like jayawardene are the best in the business at scoring on the roads they have at home. they routinely put up 300 run partnerships against good bowling attacks like south africa, but when they go away from home they get screwed. some cricketers are only capable of performing at a top level in conditions that favour them. i doubt the paki bowling attack can repeat such performances on batsman friendly wickets. if the swing goes, they are easy to play. which is why australia declard 4 times in 6 innings against them when they played in december

So you tell me which bowling attack is good when the conditions aren't helpful? Every bowling attack will usually suffer without any helpful conditions. Australia also bowled against us in those helpful conditions in the first innings, but our batsman were able to play weren't they? The only reasons Pak's bowling attack is not capable of helping us win is because of our batting. So many times our batting has collapsed when the bowlers have done really well. You guys are saying as if this was Pak's fault that it was bowling friendly conditions.
kabira Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 now keep MoYo and Younis Khan out and let youngster play. They will still lose more than they will win, but that will be real team building effort, instead of chopping and changing. Drop Malik too.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I think SA still have the best bowling attack. steyn and morkel almost never bowl a poor delivery and they have the ability to get you out at any time. i was super impressed by them when they played in India. they wrecked india at nagpur with some sensational bowling (some of the deliveries bowled by steyn were unplayable) and in the 2nd test, they still made sehwag and co. work really hard for their runs. the best bowling attack is one which causes problems on all kinds of surfaces. the saffies do that, and the aussie bowling attack of the past (mcgrath, gillespie, kasprowicz, warne) could do it better than anyone else. pakistan are a good bowling side but nowhere near their level.
