To get 2 wickets in the end was very crucial. To start a new day with just 8 wickets to take is far better than starting a new day with 10 wickets to take. I think 2 wickets down on scoreboard will give our bowlers some confidence in getting the remaining 8 wkts.

i feel we r gona miss Bhajji.the pitch is a turner now,n these pitches bring the best out of him,he couldve applied real pressure.cant expect too much from Mishraji. for SL to win,both teams have to bowl really well n SL a bit better.if we dont bowl them out,they woont give us anything below 350 n that should take it well into the last day.the young spinners need to step up for us,its tough ask off them,but they gotto do it,they both r also playing for one place,so should be interesting

Mishra and Ojha's performance will be crucial tomorrow. Dhoni would give more overs to Viru for sure but we need our frontline spinners to create more pressure and pick wickets. Also if Ishant could run in all charged up and bowl a fiery spell, that would do wonders to the team. The bowlers need to be consistent and should cut down on the run scoring opportunities for SL, that will do the trick for us. There is enough on the pitch to get wickets when pressure is applied and it would be really interesting to see how Mishra bowls on this pitch now. I was extremely happy to see Raina play the way he did and get a 50 under pressure. Justified the teams faith in him ahead of Yuvi and has ensured that we are still in the game. Extremely disappointed to see Sachin play that shot, i never could have imagined him getting out like that. Anyway good solid performance by the lower middle order and the tail, ideally a lead of 50 would have done wonders to our confidence but considering the state we were in 199-4, ill happily take the final score. Now the onus is on our bowlers and i hope we bundle SL out under 275. We would have a great game in our hands then.

@lord.we are already missing bhajji big time.i have no doubt that he would have made an impact in the 1st innings.I can never be too critical of Viru's shot selection but Sachin's was unpardonable especially after what before against malinga.I think Dhoni should show more confidence in Mishra,we need him and Ojha to be on their game to dismiss then on the 4th day.

I don't think Mishra will play any role other than leaking runs tomorrow, I hope I am wrong but he is too slow thru the air and they will play him off the pitch.He will give his customary hit me ball every over. Ohja for tall man was not getting the bounce which Viru was getting , as Jayasurya suggested today Ohja needs to bowl quicker and bowl more than 1 good ball every over.He doesn't build enough pressure. Ishant is key for me he needs to knock couple of batsmen early in the morning, this test he has not leaked runs at alarming rates which is good sign I guess.He was bowling well why he moved round the wicket is beyond me. Bhajji would have been great for this pitch it is the pitch tailor made for him with bounce and turn.

As i said in the other thread. it's good to start a day with 8 wickets to take then to take all 10 wickets. I think Sangakkars wicket will be very crucial to take. I would start the day with Sehwag and Ishant. One seamer and one spinner to unsettle the morning pair of lanka. Crucial first session awaits.

this is turning out to be a classic test match. horrible shot selection from some of our top guys. you really cant excuse that....such pathetic stuff. but i was very pleased with the way raina played - he is so patient but positive at the same time. definitely better than yuvraj. i think that by the end of day 5 we will have a situation where all 3 results will be possible. india's bowling hasnt been good enough throughout the series, but if they do well in this ONE innings, all will be forgiven. ojha was fantastic in the 1st innings, and mishra will like the ball turning more. the bounce is going to help ishant sharma big time...i think tomorrow just might be his day. he has bowled really well at times in this test series but never had any support from the other end. this time, thanks to the conditions and improving form of our bowlers, ishant will be able to do a lot better. a pumped up spell from like what we saw at galle 2 years ago will go a long way in winning us this game. i stil dont think india can chase 200+ here, especially with randiv bowling so well.
