According to sources, Anil Kumble won by a margin of 50 votes.
SachDan Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 wow, congrats to both of them. This is historic!
Mamu Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I hope this is the beginning of many things to come in all State Boards where influential families with political ties have been ruling the roost. Most of them dumb f**ks who have no knowledge about cricket. What the f**k does the Maharaja of Mysore knows about cricket ?
saneindian Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Brilliant news. Congrats to the trio. But the real challenge starts from here. Expectations from the trio will be sky high and people will expect nothing less than the best from these guys. There will be hurdles along the way but I am sure with their foresight and man management skills these three will be prove to be the pioneers of professionalism that in cricket administration in India needs so badly. Time for the jokers like Srinivasan , Shukla and Niru Mama to take notice and mend their ways of working and thinking else get ready to vacate the positions soon.
Sir john Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 mallya also support them.:hmmmm: according to CI.
cowboysfan Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 my only wish from jumbo is that he upgrade the chinnaswamy facilities(or better yet build a new stadium).
Guest Hiten. Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 This is brilliant. Ex cricketers vying for top posts in their respective state board, can only help India as a cricketing nation develop. Enough of the dickheads like Pawars, Dalmiya's, Manohars :wall:
fineleg Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Congrats to Jumbo and the other players! Hope some good comes out of this.
gsivak Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Time for a few good men to take over. However, don't see massive change in set up elsewhere. Can't think of anyone in TN who can challenge Srini :((
Andy Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Thats what i wanted, Now SG should contest CAB elections.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 this is brillliaNT news. have been looking for it
fineleg Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Too many corrupt politicians and corrupt industrialists in Cricket Administrations, all other states should start electing ex-players too
b555 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Too many corrupt politicians and corrupt industrialists in Cricket Administrations' date=' all other states should start electing ex-players too[/quote'] there arent many in AP :D
Ram Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Kudos to the three. As Dravid pointed out, these three are at a stage where they could opt for potentially far more lucrative career options. Someone like Kumble probably easily land a coaching/commentating job in most places in the world. But they chose to ignore that all and dirty their feet in the muddy waters of cricket administration. But you can pretty much be guaranteed that a guy like Kumble will come in and clean-house. Good times are ahead for Karnataka cricket!
