While I am in favour of India, I do think being hone team might be disadvantage esp. considering the WC history. I also think India's bowling at the end of the innings might cost them big time. Hence I am going with England. They seem to be on a roll.

This one will be a world cup of close matches,no team is massively ahead or superior to others,every team has one weakness or another,no team yet has come to grips with batting PP which would be crucial in the world cup,no clear favourites from my side but I reckon this will be one hell of a tournament

India-I have watched all WC's since 1987(even though i vaguely remember that one),This is a first time when we are going in as clear favourites and both heart and mind agree on it. We have the Strongest batting line up in the world,In-form team,Home conditions,Fall from grace of previously strong teams like Australia and to some extent Pakistan and Newzealand,good captain with a stable team,A fired up Sachin as this might be his swan song.what else do we need???I will give up watching cricket if the boys don't pull this one off

South Africa look like a very good professional outfit- Chokers? Sri Lanka look good but there batting relies on sanga and Mahela could let them down. Windies = Raw talent but no team formula Pakistan = Not consistent but match winners present India= Good batting but death bowling is shocking England = Trott at NO3 is a disaster waiting to happen, Bresnan aswell Australia = Not a settled side, Tait,Lee,Nannes,Johnson - Firepower is there, avoid injuries NZ = They always make Semis but they won't go further than that stage

India's best chance to win it all. Would be a great send off for SRT. Home conditions, our batting is in good form, just need some marginally good bowling and we can do it.
