ravishingravi Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 Not good enough. I can't believe he was the only alternative left.
vamos_rafa Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 haha... for once i am sad that me assessment was right :((
Sachinism Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Quite disappointed, given the good conditions, it would have been nice to see the bowlers putting in more of an effort. getting the pace up and make use of the wicket. Instead more trundling.
Sooda Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 this is what we get by playing an 18 yr old with a handful of FC games under his belt and nothing more; and leaving behind guys like Praveen who would have found the conditions at least early on to his liking or even Munaf, those guys would have at least kept some sort of control with thier accuracy. Cant blame Unadkat debut performances are no real indicator of where he will end up but he might have been pushed into the deep end before he was ready. Its not like Santh and Ishant have ripped through the Saffies
virufan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 he does not even touch 130 km/hr! How do we expect him to take wickets?? Did the selectors not notice this important aspect? I am surprised. No swing, no pace.
virufan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 He's not fast' date=' but he's really good with the variations. And the best part... he doesn't need a slower ball :winky:[/quote'] Good one :--D
ViruRulez Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 not very impressed till now .. a medium pace bowlers and nothing special from the looks of it.. Yadav might have been more effective with his pace .. really disappointed .. he did not produce any swing too .. I am really worried about our future in cricket .. the legends might still be replaced somewhat though hardly even a fraction but it would be ever scarier to think who can replace Zak and Bhajji .. we are in deep sh*t in the future if we dont find the right replacements .. we are anyways weak in bowling but Zak and Bhajji looks like gods infront of the other bowlers .. Ishant has forgot how to swing and Unadkat hardly knows how to swing

saneindian Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 His 2nd spell has been better. Has got more consistent with his line and length.
hari504504 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 His 2nd spell has been better. Has got more consistent with his line and length. Nah... he is a goner... after this test we won't hear of him for the next 5 years till he comes good in the domestics....won't be surprised if BCCI has already given one of the more senior guys the signal to get match fit (If Zaheer still has fitness issues)
hatja_tau Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 To be fair. Its his first game and he's bowled better than Sree at least.
hari504504 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 To be fair. Its his first game and he's bowled better than Sree at least. If Sreesanth bowled in the 120s consistently..he would be more accurate and thus 'better' too... Unadkat has nothing in his armoury to be a wicket taking bowler....his bouncers were :haha:

Jersey #10 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Mediocre! All he does is runs in and bowls with the hope of getting some batsman error wickets. I haven't seen any variations as yet.
IKnowU Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 For next match we need to drop both Unad and Sreesanth. Two spinners and two quicks is a much better attack for us. Bowling on lively tracks wont do shite for our phassssssssssssst bowlers.
coffee_rules Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Nah... he is a goner... after this test we won't hear of him for the next 5 years till he comes good in the domestics....won't be surprised if BCCI has already given one of the more senior guys the signal to get match fit (If Zaheer still has fitness issues) Irfan, RPS, Munna shd have been in the bench. Irfan will get us an extra spinner. I could watch paint dry rather than see these med pace trundlers like Unadkat bowl. Atleast Kumars have been taking wickets in domestic cricket. Praveen kumar, Nehra can't do worse than these.
