Should Unadkat share the new ball with Sreesanth?

Graeme Smith had trouble with Zak's line and was literally a walking wicket against him. Given that would you give Unadkat the new ball or would you hold him back because he is rookie and bring him as first change? I think Dhoni should give him the new ball. Just as a left-right batting combination is difficult to bowl at, a left-right bowling combination should probably be difficult to adjust?

Doesn't really matter. All 3 can be rotated in spells of 4-6 overs. The weather is pleasant and the pitch has enough for them not to get tired. Sreesanth and Ishant's stock deliveries are different anyways, if variety is what you are looking for. For me the crucial bowler will be Harbhajan. The pitch will certainly assist him with the bounce and dampness as it dries out. And if the commentators assessment of the pitch forming indentations comes true, he will have a major role to play. I just wish Laxman and Tendulkar had come through the post tea spell from Steyn unscathed, we would have been in a really strong position.

Heavens no, let the seniors have a crack. Let him first justify his presence in the squad, depending on his abilities with the new ball and vs the rest of the bowlers he might be suitable in the future. I'm assuming Ishant prefers the new ball, if he doesn't that's another story.

Even after that harbhajan's wicket was a huge blow

I think Sreesanth and Ishant should open the bowling. That way Unadkat's nerves will have settled down a bit by the time he comes on to bowl. This will also give Dhoni the opportunity to see how his strike bowlers are responding to the challenge. If these two hit their grooves, I'm certain they will inflict a great damage on the South Africans. If not, then Unadkat may be brought on.

Also, the commentators were saying something along the lines that the pitch should be really quicker today. So that's a good sign for Ishant and Sree, Ishant especiallly

Sreesanth and Unadkat should open! Get the "swingers" in there early... I don't think the nerves are gonna get to Unadkat. But..we all know what's gonna happen...Sreesanth and Ishant are gonna open

He looked less nervous than Sreesanth yesterday while facing Morkel. Sreesanth was all over the place but Jaidev was ready to get behind the line of Morkel's deliveries and fend them off. My only apprehension with giving the new ball to Ishant would be his relative weakness while bowling to left handers. And Smith's one of the key wickets. Also Unadkat might be the surprsie element which Sreesanth was 4 years ago.

An inital 3-4 over spell for Ishant and Sree to start with. And then get in Unadkat within thefirst 7-8 overs. Ball will be relatively new and after being on the field for sometime any nerves would have settled down during that 30-45 minutes long passage of play.

Without ZK, Graeme Smith's powers are doubled. I would not be surprised if GS scores a century at a healthy strikerate! And then Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis. We will miss ZK dearly. First order of priority - wickets. Attacking bowling. If we have to resort to Plan B - can J.Unadkat, SS, IS, HS be able to ensure the run-rate of SA is under control. Bowl to the field and dont give any easy runs.

Yeah, Ravindra Jadeja is like Arnold Schwarzanegger compared to JUnadkat! Future stars of ODIs and Tests!
Looks can be deceiving in terms of pace..Sami,Aamer, young Brett Lee being 'schwarzenegger' doesn't equate to 150 kmph (Atul..) Unfortunately for us it is ALWAYS not deceiving
