Nova Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Having tried Flash design for the ICF Banner, I am wondering about the user experience of members. Currently what happens is that the Flash banner goes back to the first image whenever any links are clicked during navigation of the forum (clicking to view threads, jumping to other sections of the forum, etc) and this causes the animation loop to restart without completing all the transitions between the images. This is a limitation of the coding right now and it will be fixed in the future, so that the new version of the flash banner will work independently of the forum and it will not auto refresh every time a member clicks elsewhere. I will appreciate your feedback on the use of the Flash banners. I have created a poll, so please vote on the option you prefer, taking into consideration - if forum navigation is adversely affected or the speed of your computer slows down. I have not noticed any of these problems but wondering if others disagree. Flash banners if designed properly offer a better visual impact and added functionality, so this is a plus point. Please make your vote count and give feedback on the poll: 1. Yes - Use of Flash Banner is OK (This means both Flash and Static banners will be used). 2. It won't be that all of the banners will be flash, but it is an available option.
